Hey guys, my name is Sean. I just signed up here today. I have 4 Audis, 97 B5 1.8TQM, 02 B6 1.8TQM, wifes 99 B5 2.8Q and we bought a 01 B5 S4 for a project for the 2 of us. I look forward to the real technical discussion instead of all the “whats the widest wheel I can put on my car” threads I see on AZ.
If you want good advice your in the right place. One of the only bad things about the B5 guys are the owners and the drama. The car is simple to male fast but too many trolls and too many junk parts and scams and scam members have set the scene back years.
Which translates to an upgrade to a B7 RS4 or B8 S4…!!! lol
Hey there just introducing myself to the Forum! I am pretty new to Audi and drive a 2011 S6 All the options. I am not new to cars though was a tech for a couple years for GM so like to work on my own stuff, sold My Blower/N20 2008 Corvette and picked up the S6. Mostly have had corvettes, camaros, ctsv, trucks etc for my fun cars. I drove the S6 after looking at a ton of Sport sedans which include Lexus ISF, Cadillac CTSV, Audi S4, Audi C7 3.0t A6. As soon as I drove the S6 I got maybe a half mile down the road and said yup this is the one. Interior is flawless in design overall car is very classy and feels like a true luxury sports sedan, not a sports car like the rest. Getting into this car you have to have the mind set its not the fastest and they do not make many aftermarket go fast mods for it (which is a good thing for me). I’ve had it almost two months and pretty much everything is done that can be. I most definitely will be taking it to the 1/4 just to see where its at as it doesn’t feel like a slouch at all and has surprised me a lot. I’d like to know what the fastest one has gone in the US if anyone knows and shoot for that! Sorry for the long intro just wanted to share my experience Ive had with the car so far.
Mods so far are Custom Exhaust X-pipe 2 large resonators deleted mufflers replaced with borlas and Quad slash cut tips(I’m happy with this setup very much. Still has two resonators if id like to make louder. But prob wont)
Flaps removed and K&N’s installed
APR 93 tune (still not sure how I feel about this. Wanted a 103 tune and APR wont reply)
Rotiform SNA wheels ET35 19x9 w/265/35 Front 19x10w/275/35 Rear (Was amazed how heavy the stockers are. Which are FS)
H&R Springs I just installed this week(install wasn’t as bad as the forums portrayed)

Lovin the car looks awesome. There are a few options out there for the v10 S6 you just need to be on the right site and know the right people. I believe a few of the people who are really doing stuff are on here and this is the most technical site there is. Tons of practical expert’s here.
I would also cut and paste your intro post in the S6 section.

Yes, definitely add your intro to the C6 section. I just started a thread there for all the C6s (all engines) to post a pic and intro. And if you continue with further mods, then a build thread is always great too.

Great to hear you have a track visit planned. I can tell you that my car has been to the track, and Ill add my results to the 1/4 mile database within a couple days. In stock form it ran mid-14s. Ill have more details when I officially provide the results. With your APR tune and custom exhaust, I hope you are in the mid-13s. But don’t get your hopes up too high. The numbers from the magazines seem to be very optimistic.
That being said, the formula that JHM used to get the most out of the B6/B7 S4 cars should apply to these cars also. So, if you want to go faster, then there should be a way to get there. If that is your goal, PM me and I can give you a bit more detail.

I am a Canadian living in Sydney, Australia. Previously lived in southern Ontario, (from Ottawa, & Barrie, & Windsor) - hello T.O./Detroit crew.
I have a 2007 S6 (and a Nissan 180SX - several, actually!)

Lastly, I’m not a commercial entity, but I do have a connection to the Audi factory in Hungary and so I can get some good deals on parts which are shared with the A3s & TTs. Happy to help out any enthusiast with any parts they might need - prices are typically lower than ECS or GAP etc. I do it because dealer prices are just way more than they should be, especially in Australia.
Anyways, the Audi below - nothing done to it really really, aside from a lot of warranty work! The wheels are Vorsteiner VFF-101 20x10J +44, tyres 275/35R20

I recently had a B6 S4 Avant but that was sadly written off… and I still want another Avant, but that will come along soon. Needed to own a V10 powered car, so here I am.
I’m looking forward to the technical advice and hoping I can contribute to the S6 community as there is just not alot of info around available to us guys. Also work in the insurance industry and seems like there are a lot of people looking for clarification on insurance subjects, shoot me a message and maybe I can help you out.

Very excited to see all the V10 owners. The Audi V10 appears to be a very underdeveloped platform. I’d speculate much of that is due to a lack of education. The information dump thread is very informative.
Another new member here. Recognize a lot of names from AZ, QW and AW. Longtime Audi owner, starting with a 1986 (I think) 4000. Currently have 6 Audis, and joined mainly to get more information on the B7 RS4 platform.
