New mod and drag

Ask Saki.

Did you get the car today. I assume it has to be running much stronger then before. If you had a faulty throttle body and a MAF code the car is going not be running as strong as it can.

I posted this a while back in this thread. 8.48 @ 83.33 translates to a pace for a 13.1 @ 106 on a B67

That’s a pretty reliable calculation (1.55 x 1/8 ET = 1/4 ET and 1/8 divided by 0.785 = 1/4 MPH)

Great choice of shoes! Light and durable, not to mention they don’t look too shabby.

The car is on its way back home now. Thank u for the compliments on the wheels. I wanted something lighter than the stock bricks.
According to JHM my pressure plate has gone out too. But I don’t have the funds to replace it with them so it is coming back on a trailer now. I have their stg4 clutch setup and I know there has to plenty of people with stg4 clutch kit with supercharger. I wouldn’t imagine it breaking especially with such few miles on it but I could be wrong.

8.4 is pathetic with the modifications I have.

I kind of thought so too. I’m hoping to do the same time with pretty much all the same mods minus the supercharger.

Altho I may be in the same boat because I don’t think the 1R clutch will hold up to the torque of V1 headers. My car won’t launch properly anymore like it did before I installed the headers. Launch and 1-2 shifts won’t grab like they did before

Bc did I miss your header update thread. I always love to hear what other people think of them. Its maybe me but the header club is a nice club to be in and unless you have had the V1 JHM headers you dont know what they feel like.

Glad to hear your getting the car back. Soory to hear about the clutch

My stage four SAC ratcheted itself all the way down with low miles. But my car is probably not a good example since I also tried to rip the pinion gear out of the front of the rear differential and almost succeeded.

Didn’t Axel have issues with his stage 4 clutch?

I think that the stage 4 can’t handle the supercharger. NA is fine but once you add boost then I don’t think it can take it.

Interesting. How many miles do you have on your 1R?

I don’t even think I’ve ever made a thread on here…let alone a “BUILD”. I see people posting their “Builds” all the time, especially over on AZ. I’m sorry, but fixing your car and adding a couple mounts or IM spacers doesn’t make it a “build”. Save that for the folk’s who are actually tearing shit all the way down, then back up.

All I’ve done over the years is fix some stuff here and there and added a couple parts. I don’t think that makes it a “build” just as much as it doesn’t make me a master mechanic because I can pull my motor alone in my garage.

I’ve got almost 30k miles on the 1R clutch I have. I put it in I think February 2014 so it’s right at a year and a half old and has gone from 155-183k miles so far. Everything seems fine except for no bite when using L.A.

Also, James didn’t you say getting the trans off with the V1 headers was near impossible? Jake@JHM makes it seems like there’s no issue changing the clutch with them in place “We’ve been doing it that way for years”.
(They also say TIP headers fit 6MT cars which is not exactly true…it takes a little more than massaging to make them work)

So I got my car back Thursday night and it feels 100% better. I don’t think it’s ever been at max power since I started with my “build”. Also my clutch is done. I could feel it jumping as I shift hard and give it gas. So when I save up some money I’ll be upgrading the clutch again. The weak point on their old clutch kits is the rs4 pressure plate. Any recommendations on which R stage to go with?

I say either 3R or 5R, reason being cause charged RaceKar ;D
