NEW STOCK RS4 1/4 MILE RECORD TODAY

dunno really how much more there is. Carbon clean might add some top end…maybe 10 whp or so since my car seems decent? So maybe high 12.6 @ 109?

Nice job dude! Sweet driving

nice saki, you definitely have some skill

Congrats Saki!!

Nice Saki! Congrats!

You should have brought your wife and your tween daughter, you would have went even faster.

So your car stock has gone faster than Mick fully bolt on, weight reduced car. Must be his tunes fault ::slight_smile:

He had me and bora.

lol

Someone asked me if I was jealous of that car yesterday. I politely advised them that I wasn’t.

Jusdt checked Density Altitude when I went 12.75 was +281 feet

20@20 the ESP launch

So Saki what’s your new technique? What tyres and pressure? I still need to post my drag time slip from the other week, it seems like my 1.70’s pretty exceptional, anyone got close to these times?

launched at 4000 rpm balls to the wall lol. No real technique. I didn’t drop it as instantly as I had in the past, but I didn’t exactly slip it either. Just increased the RPMs a bit. Tires were the Toyo Proxes R (which i hate…they came on the wheels) which worked pretty well. They’re directional, so maybe that helps with traction from a stop. The channelled tires seem to spin too much. I didn’t change tyre pressure because the car was launching very well. The second run was a 1.83 which is solid for a stock car with only 317 ft lb of torque.

Post your timeslips for sure in the S5 section. We all love seeing the data. If you made it to 330 feet (just before the top of 2nd gear) I can pretty accurately guess what your 1/4 mile ET would have been within a tenth. I’ve got a couple of databases on these cars so you can see some trends.

I believe we have had a bunch of guys in the 1.7 range on the B6/7 S4s but on the RS4 probably not many…Keith at APR was in the 1.7s on his 11.9 run…and may have done the same on the S5 11.9 run. George (2000S4) who went 12.28 @ 112.45 in his RS4 with just bolt ons had a 1.77 60 foot time. He used JHM’s launch assist feature for that…launch control built right into the tune. The guys yesterday with B6/7 S4s were raving about launch assist achieving 1.8 sixty foot times all day. While the other cars were all whinging about traction etc. , our Audi group was launching great.

Statement of the obvious by myself and bora lol…

Or for those with short attention spans:

Great video Bango, it is just missing one thing…obscure rock music…

V8 revolution baby ;D

Yeah we forgot about the supercharged v6’s running low 12’s

Did you snap some video of my car during some runs?

If yes YouTube those!!! ;D

Sorry, I thought I had with the above video but I forgot to click something. Uploading now although I haven’t given it the caption treatment yet…

1.70 is really good. You are on the JHM setup right? I have cut a best 60ft of 1.64 on street tires. And i have had plenty of other 1.6Xs and 1.7Xs with the jhm clutch. I had a low 1.7 on the stock clutch NA with colder weather. But i really havent had my car in cold weather since the spray. I would love to get into some -1400 DA.

Also this was not on the JHM LA tune.

CONGRATS SAKI ON THE NEW RS4 RECORD ;D. Now get that thing into the 1.7 range and go some 12.60s with a carbon cleaning of course. Cant wait to be able to hit the track again.

Congrats on the great times!

I don’t think he is on any set up, OEM if recall…that’s what’s even more impressive!

^ he was referring to horsepower I think.

Saki - are you using the shifter or, have swapped to the JHM SSK?
