Opinion welcomed

That’s exactly what I was thinking when I was thinking about that black chrome look. Don’t want 3 different colors spooling the look. Actually thought of doing bronze flag vice red…Might try some experiments prior to any real commitment.

Im buying this hood. Ill be painting to match just like nick did with his. Im doing it mostly for looks. I think it will look awesome with my DTM package.

As for the badges, I say no. Just my IMO

Looks good. Just too much going on with different shaped vents and positions of said vents.

This!

I look forward to going WOT at a light. I can only imagine the confusion.

any of us with exhaust already confuse the fuck out of anyone next to us. I love it.

Haha…Used to love to press the S!

Maybe add a T from the V8T badge on the S6? They have V6T on the S4 which is supercharged.

Well I took off the V-8, and V-8T would just seem so dishonest…V-8S at least fits the bill

Marcus - time to go sleeper. Put on “hybrid.” ;D

Ecoboost or some other hippy nonsense.

let’s think about this rationally. There are 3 groups in the world

  1. people who don’t give a fuck about cars no matter what they say on them

  2. people who know cars inside out like us

  3. people who sort of know about cars, but will just think you drive an Audi, and not give a fuck what a V8, V6, T, S, supercharger, turbocharger etc is

Group 1 and group 3 don’t give a fuck what badges you put on there

Group 2 are the only people who might slightly give a fuck…but seriously, what are you hoping to do, spark conversation on the motorway while you’re driving along

guy on highway - “HEY!!!I SEEE YOU HAVE V8S ON YOUR CAR…CAN I INQUIRE AS TO WHAT THAT EXACTLY MEANS??? I KNOW THE B7 RS4 WAS NATURALLY ASPIRATED WHEN STOCK…IS THAT NO LONGER THE CASE?”

you - “HI! THANKS FOR NOTICING! YES…IN FACT I HAVE A JHM STAGE 1 SUPERCHARGER KIT INSTALLED ON THE CAR AND NOW MAKE MANY MORE HPs THAN BEFORE WHEN IT WAS STOCK!”

guy - “OK…THANKS FOR CLARIFYING!” (drives off)

WHo gives a shit about badges, really. Group 2 knows it’s an RS4 instantly…and that’s where it ends. Telling random strangers its supercharged isn’t going to change anything. Nobody cares to be honest. Nobody puts their modlist in badges on the car. Why bother to do so when it’s a supercharged car? The B8 S4 guys all like to do it for some reason…put that big supercharged badge on there. The only reason I can think they do that (and I’ll probably get flamed for this) is because an innocuous V6T badge is slightly unimpressive and underwhelming, and they want the general public to know it’s actually a forced induction V6 as if that will impress. Again, who gives a shit. Not groups 1 and 3…so that leaves group 2 who knows it’s supercharged already because they know about cars.

If you want something interesting to identify what is going on, get the Vortech arrow sticker that Dan designed. That’s pretty funny and inside joke-ish, and will make you laugh while confusing most people other than Mustang guys who will know instantly what it means.

Frumpy, aren’t we? Never even fathomed putting V8S on. That was a jokey joke. It was always going to be either “supercharged” or nothing, with leanings toward nothing…The sticker is going to go on the laptop that I apparently have to buy since Mac won’t run VCDS without “boot camping” or whatever splits the hard drive.

no, I’m just saying in general…changing badging on cars is kind of…weird.

V8T…V8S…who cares. The only possible reason that would make sense, would be to incite street races. Like if you come across the guy who wants to race anything reasonably fast. Of course that guy likely is either a retard in a 130 hp base model Impreza, or it’s a guy with an 800hp shitbox…so is this really something to badge for?

Even then with a supercharged RS4, you’re going to scare more people away than you’ll attract, race wise. People are terrified of losing a street race, generally. They always want to race cars they know they can beat…or they want to race cars they had no chance of beating, for a laugh and they want to goad them into ripping it (i.e. base 140 hp Civic with 3 kids vs. GTR). IT’s weird.

While we are on the subject of badges, why the hell do the badges say V6T. Most people i talk to think the cars are turbocharged. When i explain to them its a supercharger i always get funny looks and they ask why the T.

I wasnt sure if anyone knew the exact reasoning or not.

I wouldn’t think into it too much.

TFSI…maybe has something to do with it. I think it’s a weird badge and it confuses people, but so would an S of K.

im all for debadging a car, no one needs to know what u have until u hit the loud pedal. as far as adding them I would never. I like clean lines. I removed my rear rings just for that reason however I will keep the rs4 badge because deep down inside I do want ppl to know I drive an rs4 lol.

im having an internal debate right now about whether or not to put the jhmotorsports stickers on my rear side windows that sak gave me the other night.

generally I hate stickers and badges and especially oem grilles. I usually debadge and smooth everything out. ill remove door moldings and things like that that mess up the cleanliness.

How about we replace the RS4 badge with an A4 and get vinyl under it that says “Ghetto Wide Bodykit Edition”…J/K

I usually say I drive a “little Audi sedan”. So I’d have “Little Audi Sedan, Ghetto Wide Bodykit Edition”. Has a nice ring to it

The reason the B8 S4 has a T is because Audi hadn’t done a simple supercharger before, so they just threw the T on as they do on the turbo cars. They issued a memo that T doesn’t mean Turbo. It means forced induction for all Audi powerplants.

V6S seemed silly, as did V6K (kompressor)

SO they just left it as V6T

Thanks. Ive had the discussion numerous times and i never have an answer. The way people look at me is disbelief. “i dont understand, you say it’s supercharged but it says V6T. Wouldnt that mean turbo?”

lol.
