PES blown RS5...

Hopefully, he posts more information say like a 1/4 slip… LOL Doubt that… Will see if he starts a thread…

Yes they have a new supercharger kit for the 4.2 cars using a very gigantic whipple blower. The blower is about 75% the displacement of the B8 S4 for perspective. 2.3L. Not sure that’s optimal…all the data I’ve seen shows it’s a little oversized, but we will see. They’re pretty efficient.

Of course PES is famous for fucking up so it will be great to watch. I have my popcorn and remote control handy. Will tune in.

p.s. love that video he posted to explain what is going on with his car. Really shows how incredible the kit is. ???!!!

As for the quarter mile, this time I think they will. They have a big enough blower on a good enough car (RS5 with DSG is foolproof on its own) that they will easily jump into the 11s. Of course they’re dumb enough over at PES to post an 11.9 @ 117 and think it’s a great success. I shit you not.

When they had an RS4 kit (used an Eaton M90  ) they were dumb enough to post this customer run to say how awesome it was…

That car had LW wheels, brakes, Euro interior (-70 lbs) full catless exhaust.

At the time it was the fastest RS4 I believe at 12.6 @ 110 with a 1.84 60’ time. In basically epic DA (watch how cold it is in the video). That was like being tallest midget though…only like 5 RS4s had been to the strip, mostly bone stock bymagazines.

Of course 2 years later, my STOCK rs4 went 12.75 lol and has since trapped 109.9. Stock.

Software should be a pretty big challenge for them. I wonder who they’ll ask to do the tuning?

The video really doesn’t show anything other than the engine running, which is a simple task.

Tony will try tune it, should be fun lol

LOL!

I don’t think a 2.3 whip is oversized. Delends on the boost. They like to be right at 16-19psi.

Guys run 3.4 and 4.0 whipples on cobras all the time. That’s 4.6L.

No idea how that all relates. But it’s just some perspective info none the less

i predict a BIG BADA-BOOM

That Australian guy who has a money tree in his yard bought the pes kit now. What a bummer.

He already failed to hit the strip for two years of promises. Now it’s never going to happen lol.

He is however talking mad shit about his dyno sheetzzz

I’m sure jhm and their 11.1 at 8 lbs of boost are shaking in their boots.

I have met the guy at a show once and asked him about his na tune…it was some random company i had never heard of…well its possible the reason he went with pes is probably they offered him the same price the kit is in the US and not waiting for the ridiculously over inflated prices apr stuff is here…love apr products but dam it is so exspenive it would be cheaper to fly over buy the stuff and bring it back as carry on lol

That’s like saying price is the only determinant of value. PES straight up sucks, and their track record is horrendous. NOBODY should be buying anything from pes without being paid to do so. Never mind paying them us prices which makes it Ok.

That guy paid $10,000 for his exhaust. He paid who knows what for his tune. Then he dyno’d same as stock hp, and made like +15 tq. Now he’s buying a supercharger from the pes turds, and because this is pes, he will now live and die by the dyno.

Next time you see him, ask him why, after two years and $75,000 in mods, he still hasn’t hit the strip? He said he would ages ago.

The price of euro cars in Aus/NZ is so high! When I living in the UK, I was considering moving to NZ temporarily. I would’ve made a profit if I’d shipped my A3 TDI down under and then sold it and left it there when I returned to the UK.

If I lived in Australia, I’d get a Bathhurst edition VXR8 (or whatever it is called there) and get someone to tune the hell out of that http://youtu.be/Ld_nn9H-AAY?t=2m17s

Hells no defintely not defending his choice in pes i have been around long enough to not trust that shit… i was just sayin it must have been a hell of a deal to pimp their shit

Personally think its the dumbest thing he has done to his car…

I will say this there is only 1 strip on sydney and it is only open 1 night a week that i am aware of for off the street stuff which is a wed night…knowing that type of car and where he might live i doubt he would schlep over to that side of sydney…the tnt days well not really many if any street/euro cars would go…but still the baller he thinks he is im sure he could take a day off work and make sure he gets down the 402m

Also can a whipple blower even take that amount of revs and wouldnt it just increase the intake temps to much at those rpms

I guess the 8 months of R/D was good enough to release a kit with no baseline dyno or 1/4 times.
Tony convinced him to buy a Milltek exhaust cracked me up. I don’t think the owner has a clue of what’s going on. Why replace your stock exhaust for another that has the OE specs especially when running a S/C?

Not even a baseline dyno? Un fucking believable.

Wow. Retard with a RS5. He puts big fucking heavy wheels on, air bags, and now a red and black spiderman PES supercharger

Who needs facts anyways! Butt dyno!!!

I hope we see some track data. I’d like to see how it stacks up to our future offering.

Arin, when did I begin testing on the RS5? Just want to gauge an idea of how long it’s taking to get it right. This 8 months of testing seems like minimal time.
