I think so. Those are slicks. They aren’t street tires. Sure you can drive on the street with them. You can also drive on the wheels with no tires. Is that representative of anything we care about?
How about the fact that some stations sell race gas that comes out of a pump that’s right beside the 91 and 93. Does that mean it is also pump gas? Technically it’s from a pump.
As for slicks vs. street tires, it’s good for 1 or 2 tenths at the strip. That’s the difference between a record or a 10th place time on most platforms. That’s gigantic. So I don’t think it’s not a big deal because of quattro.
