Not sure if a thread like this exists yet, but what I would like to do is have people post their favorite s6/s8 v10 videos. These could be either your own filmed videos or published videos regarding reviews of the car, exhaust sounds, track time etc. let’s have some fun
Note: I mentioned s6/s8 v10s, but i would also welcome b7 rs4 or newer gen S or RS videos as well

I look everytime a video link is here but the owners of these cars havent gotten to the point where there are a lot of gear heads owning them yet.
That is starting to pick up and I think the momentum will start where you see more and more hotrodders getting these cars as JHM has more and more time with the platorm

Thanks J! I’m actually trying to find a topgear episode, not sure if they ever did one, but I’ve looked everywhere and cannot confirm. Jermey probably hates the car cause it’s heavy and he never really loves Audi, like he loves the BMW, especially the m5 but I enjoy his banter none the less. I think I found a rs6 but the s6 one I cannot find.
I could of swore they had an avant to review and did a crazy stunt with it?
Any other cool reviews anyone remembers? I guess people didn’t do as many video reviews back in circa 2007
Been looking for this one! 2007 s6 video review. I don’t always like edmunds but this is a decent review, and they see the value of the car for the most part…
I think with a few modifications (proper exhaust with xpipe plus intake filters and spacers) the car performs as it should as it left the factory ;). Little do they know how much more unreliable and IMO less fun it is to drive the m5 and e63 on the canyon runs and back roads
Funny thing is no one praises the tip in and throttle response for this car even stock on the highway at less than 90 mph. That was one of my fav features
There’s an option to show Closed Captioning with auto-translation to english… Basically he just pointed out that the S6 is a hair cheaper and a hair slower than the M5, and that while the M5 is sportier to drive, the S6 is more refined and enjoyable. Pretty much the same conclusions drawn by others comparing those two cars.
Sounds about right. A good analogy especially stock is. Someone who wants to fly under the radar and enjoy a refined car with exotic touches and soul, which can be very split personality, vs. the M5 which while it try’s to be a split personality it really cannot as it gives off the full race mod thing a bit more
I will also put money that the s6 will go an additional 150-200 miles on the hwy. the m5 in full power and s6 trans speed and you love it but it well sucks when not driven in power mod and s6. Otherwise you kinda just clunk around and feel like your driving a 528i. Hence why maybe I got 4-6 mpg in that car and never saw even the optimistic mpg readout go above 18 even pussy footing on the highway with a catless exhaust and tune.
That said the cars are so different it makes sense to have both, but I’d do 6speed manual to have a completely different experience than the s6/s8…one day again soon
