God, Wow… thanks man! Any vids I host/post you are more than welcome to use on the site… I am all about sharing to show real results… Very sorry about the quality… I ordered a new Sony camcorder yesterday and shouls have it for my runs this weeknd… Hopefully, I will break the 11.97 # and run some real 11.8x’s with good video… Thanks again for the great forum and support… later Ron

It’s certainly good to see the B8 guys getting more serious about integrity with the numbers. As I said earlier, at least some good will come of this.

very funny indeed. One day all those guys will figure out that most of these ‘conflicts’ that involve me is just me correcting them when they slam other platforms that they know fuck all about. A great example is when they say the RS4 is slow, or a B8 RS4 with 4.2 FSI would be ‘fail’, but when I point out that exhaust/clutch/tune B7 RS4s with $5,000 in mods on pump gas are running as fast or faster than any B8 on pump gas on the planet, they think I’m hating the B8. No, I’m correcting you on the RS4. Anyway, there are few good guys out there in every platform, and I don’t really concern myself with the masses as long as I can share info and connect with the good guys.

Look at this site…200 members, and if I had a real problem or question that I needed answering, I’m very confident it would get correctly answered here before any of the other sites…even though they have 10x to 300x the membership base. Look at NY07RS4’s threads about his smoke issues. He posted everywhere. Got good info here, and ‘gee that’s weird, good luck’ from everywhere else. You only need a few good men lol.

Yea I’ve been chuckling about that fact. Half of them don’t even know what to think b/c it was so obvious Saki was the “bad guy,” when in reality, he was just fact checking them about shit they really didn’t know much about. Saki keeps it real.

The all time greatest was when VF got frustrated that Saki was posting information on european non-english speaking forums. They thought they could just go spew dyno graphs to make money elsewhere, nope, not while saki’s still around!

Would love for you to come out Richi. There will be 4 or 5 of us with V’s there. I’ll be there when they open so I can let the car cool off a bit and still get a few passes while it’s chilly out.

Sunday at Atco. I plan on getting there around 8:30 or 9 but I would hang out until it’s convenient for you to get there. I’m grabbing my brother’s helmet but they have them there. I never had any problems using a rental when I went with my S4 but you’re gonna be running faster than I ever did.

Worst case just use my helmet. No worries.

I have a kid and a newly pregnant wife at home. It feels good to be away from all the drama that comes along with that for a while.

My guess is Rich runs a very low 12 since he can’t launch hard… 12.0-12.3 range… Like I mentioned before I am more interested in his trap… I bet he traps 117+

fuck that, i got a new clutch setup coming monday or tuesday… i might as well launch it right… if it goes it goes, at least ill have the parts to fix it on hand

hahaha, i havent sent in my ecu yet, i still have the 93 only. i was gunna send it in when i did the clutch. its gunna be down for a few days cus we gotta drop the motor again so i can replace the passenger header with the final revised version. the beta set i had blocked access to one of the bolts on the trans so i cant pull the trans with out dropping the motor at the moment

Makes sense… Knowing you I figured you were the first to send it in! LOL I wouldn’t have sent mine in until the end of the year but when asked about a beta tune I couldn’t pass up the offer to test it… APR asked that I run the same tune again this weekend… The boost bypass got less and less after each run… I bypassed 14% on average my first pass but only 2% on average my last pass… I cut a 1.64 60ft time on the last pass but the 1-2 hung which killed the run… Hopefully, it won’t be as crowded this weekend and I can get in more passes… i would also like to run with 93 this year so will see how the weather is the following week and what APR says about the tune when I send the logs in…

seems everytime a DSG B8 launches awesome, the tranny goes apeshit and kills the run. Happened to the local Toronto guy too…ilspazzaneve or something. Means snowplow or snowblower in Italian. I think a B6/7 owner working at Audi snuck something in the tranny tune to slow you guys down lol

Hey, Richi, just do a couple of shake down runs and see how the clutch feels. Let the clutch out till it starts to grab, then go. Don’t necessarily drop it. Kinda like you would do at a red light when you want to get in front of cars, but know you don’t need to go nuts.

If it handles it, maybe try a full launch off 3000 rpm and work your way up. Probably 3500 at the most, otherwise with your torque, you’re going to roast tires. Of course you will figure that out. Just bring your AAA card!
