AMS is claiming 3.3sec off of their website. Having found any video proof yet, but here is some crazy russians with UR TT Gallardo vs AMS alpha 12+ GTR

That AMS short block is allegedly going to allow for 1,700whp packages. They are going to update the trans as well. I can’t even imagine what that would feel like in a street car.
good god. they are at 8.9s 1/4 right now with 1500hp

It’s faster than that… The alpha omega, which is the car that runs 60-130 in 3.1s does the 1/4 mile in 8.6s http://www.gtrlife.com/forums/topic/67378-nagtrocs-60-130-list/page__hl__+alpha%20+omega%20+60-130#entry965372. What’s actually really crazy is Switzer Goliath producing over 1500whp with the 3.8 engine http://www.gtrlife.com/forums/topic/79895-switzer-goliath-the-information-thread/page__hl__+switzer%20+goliath__st__20 checkout the dyno graph on post 37… Crazy…
JHM should do billet S4 blocks. That’s what AMS is doing for the GTR. I can’t imagine what one of those blocks will cost.

if they really wanted to be cool they’d forge then machine, probably overkill for the little amount of stress a motor blocks sees though
One more of the Karma, because I just love that car

True, and they’d be going through CNC tool bits like warm butter ;D

if you do the proper heat treat beforehand it isnt bad. we forge/machine probably 300,000lbs of steels, titaniums and nickel alloys per day at my work.
Ahh nice, with diamond carbide bits? How long are they lasting you?

LOL. Definitely doesnt look like it weighs that much. Maybe it is all the batteries. However, seeing as this is a forum full of Audi owners, we are not so much better.
It’s definitely the batteries. Gives the car really bad dynamic feel having the big lump in the middle of it.

For sure. If they would have distributed the batteries evenly around the front and rear axle physics says its a win.

not sure honestly, the machine shop is fairly autonomous so I don’t spend as much time there as I do with the grit/shot blast machines, furnaces and forging presses. its a ~1 million sq ft facility so its easy to never spend time in certain areas
Some people are quite brave (or stupid, or crazy, or all of the above)

Hadn’t seen this VW commercial before for park assist. Thought it was well done.
They look great on the street and the track. What do you guys thing about that hood for daily use on the B7 S and RS? I’ve always liked the Vorsteiner minus the hood scoop, iirc the MTM piece was quite aggressive and 2x the cost but I’m pretty sure I haven’t seen anything like this.
