REVO?

If anything the current A4 AR would be considered a" mk1" as an A4 b8.5, while the A6 based AR has been around since ~1999 and is “Mk3”…C5/6/7

Consider “allroad” to be a trim level that can be applied to various Audi Avants. It so happens only the c5 a6 and b8 a4 versions came here.

Anyone know if the current allroad a4 has been a good seller over here?

I see about 50 B8 S4’s for every B8 Ar…not a technical stat but take it for what it’s worth

From what I’ve heard the q5 is all the rage. Leases for them are through the roof, haven’t heard much about the allroad. I don’t see nearly half as many of them around town as I see q5’s. Everyone and their mother drives a q5.

good guestimate

SWAG as they say. I agree.

Got a call from Revo. They have a tune for my 8.5 ECU and DSG. Will dyno with existing APR, install, Revo tunes and dyno again, same shop, same day.

I’ve seen more r8’s than b8 allroads recently

Looking forward to your results.

Thanks, me too! Will keep all advised.

Before you dyno with the old software clear the codes and try taking intake temp readings before each run. When I say temp readings I mean the temperature of the actual blower. If you let the car sit for a long time if can dyno lower due to heat soak or dyno way better because it cooled down.

You’ve been waiting quite some time for them to get this together for you. I’d assume a track trip won’t be far behind the flash updates?

I’m running an APR CPS so hopefully I will not have a heat soak problem?

I’ll try. Have one weekend end at home after install and then going on a two week road trip. The good news is that Coastal Planes Drag strip in Jacksonville NC is open year round.

CPS helps, but doesn’t cure shitty conditions. Case in point some of the people who ran shit times this summer then freaked out online. Guess what…CPS isn’t going to take DA +3000 feet and turn it into -2000.

No argument from me! Still warm and muggy in NC. It appears some fronts are finally going to push through so cooler dryer air may finally be coming?

with methanol injection and your cps you should have absolutely no problems with heat or iats

why did you go 11.9 @ 117?

Yesterday was a little confusing, at least for me. However, I think I’ve got some tangible evidence. I walked out of the shop and forgot the dyno print outs but, to be honest, they were somewhat ambiguous. The first run ,with APR and meth injection off, showed a max of 328HP, at third gear and then again at the fourth gear pull with the max 6200 rpm. The second pull, meth injection on, showed the same peak HP but revealed that between 3600 RPM and about 4300 RPM the meth increased HP by about 20 horses. The dyno bay had a small weather station in it. We started at about 11AM. The temp was 84.6F, barometer 30.06, and humidity of 42%. The car was then allowed to cool for a couple of hours and the REVO ECU and DSG tunes were installed. Now it get confusing. Since the car can now spin to 7000 RPM in fourth gear it reaches 125 mph on the dyno, fourth gear, at about 6500 RPM and the dyno shuts down at that speed. The best we saw at 6500 RPM was only about 5-10 more HP. However, when we did a third gear pull, meth on, we saw 351 HP at 7000 RPM compared to the APR pull, meth on, of 328HP. This all occurred at about 2 PM, temp had increased to 87.3F, Baro had dropped to 29.97 and humidity was down to 40%.
Not the best of testing but I did my best…it was an expensive dyno day. Of course once the APR flash was gone we could not go back. The tech told me it would take about 20-30 miles for the ECU to adapt. The ride home was about 60 miles. Car feels strong but on way home saw 89F on the car thermometer so any subjective judging is meaningless. The good news is I can now spin to 7000 RPM like the big boys…finally. When in manual one must change gears manually. Down in auto remains normal and up shifting, again in auto, occurs at 7000 rpm.
I did my best, the quarter mile will be the best testing grounds. It appears it will be about 3 weeks before I can do just that. Below is a list of engine options currently on car. I hope this help!?!?

Roc Euro intake
APR CPS
Euro Code headers
Miltek resonated exhaust
Aquamist HSF 4 meth injection running pure meth.

I applaud you on your fair assessment. You’ve done what few others have and that’s actually remain level headed and fair. I’d think about starting a brand-new thread and just copy over your last post. A thread called APR to revo test results will help others in the future.

The results we going to be close and it appears they were. The extra RPM rewarded you with some extra peak hp and a longer power curve. Those two should help get you into or closer to the 11 second mark.

Will do and thanks!
