Regarding Ryan’s awesome 60’ time…One thing I don’t think we should overlook is that the B6 and B7 bastard 05.5 S4s have the 50/50 center diff. If you look the smallish sample of 1/4 mile times we have access to the B6 cars seem to clock better 60’s. Even JHM’s website states the 50/50 is better for 1/4 times. Obviously, driver skill and track conditions are a HUGE factor but the 50/50 does appear to help with traction out of the hole.
good point. The 67/33 is really good for spinning tires and rally sliding around corners if you’re ignorant though.
the 255/40 rs3s will definitely not fit an S4, and really a 255 is massive overkill for drag racing… you’ll snap axles, trans mounts, other assorted bits before they loose traction.
and your best bet for a track wheel is a 17x8 with a 235/40/17, aim for 37-8lbs per wheel with inflated tire.
