well that kind of was ‘the run’. It was a full tenth faster than all of the other runs, and that is likely from 60. Hopefully he can match that one launch with the 2.5 exhaust because he should pick up a couple of MPH…which should help him for a tenth or so from 330-1320 feet. However he’s going to have to match that one awesome launch to better his time. If he doesn’t and launches like the other 4-5 runs, he’s going to lose a tenth from 0-60 feet and gain a tenth or so from 60-1320 feet…ending up right back at 12.8.
It’s tough! People often want to take their best ever, then assume they can better that by just making other adjustments elsewhere however it’s not that easy. You may not launch as well when the other stuff is taken care of. You may not shift as well. The DA might not be as good (-1400 will be tough to replicate to be honest and that can be 4-5 tenths if you go from -1500 to +1500, which won’t be that tough in the Carolinas in warmer weather)
Gotta strike whlie the iron is hot…get back out there on 2.5 again or even just as your car sits today since you’ll be sharper and won’t fuck little stuff up like windows down.
p.s. ryan how’d they let you run with windows down? That’s not allowed at all.
Ok so they really are 19x9.5 cast rotiform blq! The tires are conti dws 215/35/19 bald due to wheel spin and camber. So yeah the shoes are all show and no go but I think they weigh less then stock
the wheels weigh about 30 lbs vs. the AVUS wheels at around 29 or so. Negligible difference. The tires definitely weigh less than 235.40.18 tires, and the diameter actually helps gearing a little bit. All around not hurting his times at all. Helping really. But stretching a 215 to 9.5" is janky/booty/ghetto. He knows it. We know it.
Hmmm so if I could a lighter smaller wheel and tire dia. I in turn will go faster correct. Beside the reduced rotational mass of the lighter wheels cause ive searching for something nice and light and small but still clear the brakes
No lol the blq’s are my daily wheels I was thinking about enki rpf1 like 18x9 and some hankook rs3 maybe a 255 or 265 something crzy grippy for the track
