This thread is COMPLETELY converting me from wanting a b8 s4 to browsing classifieds for an rs4.
It’s funny…if you listened to the B8 guys, the RS4 can’t break out of the 13s to save it’s life and with tune/exhaust/downpipes etc. you’re still running high 12s.
Meanwhile we have 3 RS4s now that have run, with just simple bolt ons, using pump gas, faster than any B8 S4 on pump gas other than 81bear when he had a 25 mph tailwind pushing him down the track. He never went faster than 12.2-12.3 without the tailwind in his subsequent visits.
Yea these cars are a lot faster than I gave them credit for… Very interested to see what happens once JHM starts pumping out RS4 product again.
me too. Would like to see what their exhaust alone could do for my car.
I call Jhm, their server is still down for tune ability but my rims will be on after I receive the new tires arrive, then back to the track …even in the hot weather!!you never know…
Just spoke with Dan @jhm , it seems he is on apr’s ass to get the ability back to flash ecu’s again. I hope it’s soon as I’ll be back to the track in the next month. Apparently one his customers called him and told that I beat his time, lol!!! Good guy as he took it well as if you remember I told him his time will be beat by me!
In him defense he was on 91 octane but time will tell…

Sounds like someone listened to what people were saying about launching the car
His car is 300 lighter than stock but he had 50 lb too much fuel in the car and he weighs about fifty or so lbs more than George or dan who went low twelves . Mick is also on 92. Likely has two or three tenths left in it if he cuts the fuel down, runs on 94, and gets a Catless exhaust on there. Would like to see the timeslip or a video.
I don’t believe I gave permission for you to repost my data from Quattroworld to this site. If people want to read my data they need to come over to Quattroworld. I find it very amusing that 50% or more of the topics and posts subsequent here on this site derive from Audizine or Quattroworld or some other car forum.
Also, I am not a JHM RS4. I may have some JHM elements to my vehicle, but I am not sponsored by nor am I advertising for JHM. Please do not post claiming I am a “JHM RS4”. And as we will see in the coming 6-9 months, the quantity of JHM components on my vehicle will shrink, perhaps until all that is left is a LW Crank Pulley. Clutch will be replaced with a clutch masters stage 4, flywheel may be replaced with a clutch masters, tune may be replaced with an EPL tune, since I can’t get the good JHM tune. Intake spacers may be replaced soon, and the rear rotors may go from JHM to Alcon. Exhaust is already out, and shifter that can’t seem to stay adjusted is gone asap.
My advice on launching did not come from this forum. I learned to launch by trial and error. Please don’t try to take or give credit for something that is not yours to assign or take.

That guy Mick…interesting because his 3-4 other trips to the strip involved a best of 1.95 60 foot time or something…and on multiple occasions (3 different passes) actually STALLED at the line. He wholeheartedly admits he’s not a drag racer, but to his credit he appreciates the information and value that the dragstrip offers as a measurement device, to supplement your dyno/logs etc.
Anyway, notice his 3 sixty foot times now were 1.83, 1.82 and 1.83. Pretty awesome. How?

Looking forward to seeing your EPL custom tune results. RS4power and that other dude liked it so much they bought BMWs, and never posted any data other than the one (totally average) dyno. Must be awesome being EPL tuned. I see lots of people posting threads about how great their RS4 is with EPL tuning and how it changes the car in a revolutionary manner. Actually no, I never see that.
Not for long! Just sit back and watch as it all slowly leaves the car, start with the shifter and the clutch next.
