After the recent events with the PES con attempt. I would like to suggest that if anyone is going to claim any of the top 5 spots there needs to be video. top 10 you need to at least have a picture of your car at the track with the slips. I think we need to tighten up the boot straps. This is the second time someone has attempted to use a knock off time slip.
…and this is the second time we have instantly caught them and outed them as liars.
I agree justin we need to be vigilent, but I am not worried about scammers scamming and slipping through. Making a guy post a video is tough. That would mean my RS4 time wouldn’t be valid if bangoman hadn’t stopped running his car that day for the afternoon and filmed me. Had he still been running like the other 6 guys, I wouldnt have had that video.
Anyway I like the idea…I just think it will mean a good time won’t get in, and the point here is to build a database of data. If people want to lie to get on it, but are evasive as hell and can’t answer simple questions, it will be clear they are scamming.

BTW, what’s the approx. HP gain required for every 0.1 second drop in ET. I’m wondering what a K04 investment would get me compared to a more complicated, costly and potentially less reliable EFR/GTX build.
If this http://www.goapr.com/products/turbo_long_20t_fsi_vl_k04.html is to be believed then a K04 conversion is going to have you just short of stock B8 S4 territory. So maybe low 13’s @ 105-ish at a guess, allowing for tip box and the 100lbs of being an Avant?
There’s a revised APR tune for the K04 that isn’t posted yet. All testers have reported a strong bump compared to the current version but I don’t have any hard details yet. There have been a few people that have posted videos of the V1 tune being right on or slightly better than stock B8 S4’s up to ~100mph, but we all know how scientific those are :).
I would be quite happy with something that puts me at 12.xx@105 or so.
^^Tell those testers to get their arses to the strip, get slips and vids! Then we’ll know!
So how do the updates to the DB happen? Does the time slip need to go through forensic analysis and be verified by a panel? I want to get on the list and be the fastest B8 A4 until the next person comes along…quick, it probably won’t take long
times are generally added pretty quickly, however when people beg, their times get delayed one week.

Holy shit that is a big improvement and a very awesome time.
I love how the B8 guys are enjoying the dragstrip. It is fun, and as important, provides a great source of information for comparing mods.
The new stasis also appears to have a whole lot more going for it than that old version.
