REVOLUTIONARY RESULTS - Dragstrip database update notification thread

Yeah man, I posted some more info in 100 vs 104 thread. My clutch did me in as it started slipping bad on the second and third runs, threw in the towel at that point as to not make things worse.

My DA app said -807. Close enough.

Another great pass from d.p. Congrats, man. +karma

Any vids?

Good job bro!!!

That’s what im talking about.

You’re almsot at my 6 speed trap record with stock exhaust and .2 seconds off my ET. Good shit

Amazing how the DSG cars get it done. With an extra shift they’re still 3 to 5 tenths quicker . That’s huge delta.

It’s weird because it’s not like you guys have a ‘powerband’ to fall out of… There’s torque and power everywhere. So the tighter gears aren’t really necessary.

What’s the final drive on the manual s4?

hiis first car was a B8 and the clutch melted, but he seems to have had no trouble on his B8 facelift

tsivas said his (auditude) current one was on the way out which shouldn’t come as a surprise.

No vids and I wish I could have gotten more passes in as I am sure I would have made 11’s. I guess the race map is just too much for my clutch. Auditude you are on the stock clutch after all those passes? i guess all those stories about the clutch being the weakest point in these cars is true.

Googles says the final drive is 3.68.

Best run 11.77@118mph

Please saki when u get a chance update my times.

On this trip i learnt few new things.

Power of DA. Definitelly these cars respond to low da. I went 12.15 at 2600 Da. Today da was around 200s

Track prep makes a huge huge difference. Left lane was non prepped and i could not go below 11.9s. Right lane was prepped lot better. I ran there once and nailed the 11.77

Hot lapping 3-4 runs in a row gives the best results. Ecu adapts to new map and car gets faster faster each run. Also its better to drive the car with race gas and race map to the track. This shortens adoptation process

Overall pretty happy with the car. Now the question is should i get light wheel/rotor package or exhaust system. I am not sure which one is more beneficial.

Great times without weight reduction!

Exhaust would be pretty much for your likings of sound. No huge gains there, imho.

If I were you, I would definitely invest in front and rear rotors. As seen with others, these cars respond well to rotational weight reduction.

Maybe a CPS as well, mostly for warmer months.

I haven’t blown a clutch yet on a B8/B8.5.

First B8 started to slip bad- it was bought used with 48k miles. Got about 20 launches out of stock clutch before I stopped due to slippage.

Replaced that one with a FX400 and resurfaced flywheel. Never had an issue with that setup and coat me under a grand all in all.

This B8.5 I have since new. I have launched it ~250 times. Had it slip one time and after I left my brother-in-law drive it. It’s still “ok” but I’m not as confident in it as I used to be.
