REVOLUTIONARY RESULTS - Dragstrip database update notification thread

Yeah you’re definitely right, shouldn’t have opened my mouth beforehand, and I will just have to let them say what they say. I’m hoping next time will be much more successful, just wish it didn’t have to wait. Still happy I went though, and I have a much greater respect for Kurt, who is just an awesome person to know and have as a friend. Jones2012s4, drob23, mrmomo313, and madman4you, it was awesome meeting you guys, thanks again for the quick stop on the side of the highway  Great hanging out with you too saki. Thanks for the input and the videos. I’ll go dig up the rest of the slips and post them, although 1 or 2 of them may be a little mangled haha.

Still can’t believe Tim gave a wave as if he’s still trying to be cool with Kurt.

Not the greatest time but not too bad either. All of that makes sense. You actually mentioned on here that the car was making 8lbs of boost and you moved from a place that didnt have better then 91 fuel.

From the data I saw you only had single digit timing and zero corrections. So the fuel wasnt going to do anything and like saki said it might have done more to hurt the performance. you ran within the range of what the car would be in and thats good.

There was a big B6 S4 failure that night but it didnt come from your car. All the losers are just mad. On the same night at the same track your 8lb of boost b6 beat the 600hp 2.7t joke of a b6. There is no debating that.

sakis post is right on and you want to understand you make posts to losers who dont have running cars or there cars are utter failures everything AMD is a fail the owner or ring leader is the biggest fail. We expect anything AMD to fail because thats all they do. JHM has loads of sucuess so the trolls hope and look for the times when its not super star results.

All the sane people see you and your car have room for improvement. Lots of that improvement is getting the right file for your car now that your able to run better fuel and you have your car broken in.

Hey man, I think everyone gets a little too wrapped up with where their cars should be that they forget about the journey getting there. If this was easy, we’d all have 10 second cars (V8TT’s removed haha). You were really pysched up beforehand and I could tell the adrenaline was flowing in between passes. I will admit that the drag strip feels pretty mellow dramatic the first few times you go down. On my second pass some guy came up, pretended to chat and then pretty much told me I was moron for driving through the water box. You don’t want to fuck up the tree, are worried about your go pros and logging computer, and then forget the simple shit (like turning off your traction control or air conditioning  ). Every now and then you get to watch someone launch in reverse haha

Anyways, we all got to hang out, you did end up putting down some respectable times, and best of all…we didn’t have to sit there for 1 hour between passes. So fuck it, choke it up to first times and just go kill it the next time. Definitely go meet up with some of the AR guys in Chicago, seems to be a good group of guys who like to go.

And of course remember that the rest of us there all had DSG/Auto’s.

It was great meeting you too MDUBZ. You have a beast of a car and I’m sure you’ll eventually run the time you want to.

Mike made a great point, relish the journey! I was talking about this with primetime over PM. It’s been so much fun watching the transition my s4 made from a unassuming 13 second 4 door to running in the 11’s now… That journey isn’t over as I want to see how much faster I can make this car go ;D. Almost equally enjoyable for me is following other peoples journeys as well. That said I’m looking forward to seeing you meet your goals in the future

I had an awesome time that night and would love to have another meet at the strip sometime. Next time saki better bring his rs4 too! I wanna see more 4.2’s in action, don’t have very many in my area

There are more then you know LOL. It would be cool to have a meet before the track closes. Im pissed I missed this. Funny how all of the B8 s4 B6 and B7 S4 guys have no issues and they cheer for eachother.

Thanks Justin. That’s exactly how Kurt explained it to me too. Looking forward to getting back out and hopefully getting a chance to meet you as well next time.

Haha for sure, the manual definitely makes it tricky the first time out. There’s a lot of things to watch and pay attention to.

Definitely enjoying the journey and I’m a little happy the car was a little tamer than it could have been. It was good to get some practice in for once. You definitely can’t get that kind of practice just daily driving or pulling hard onto the highway. Definitely would have been cool to see saki make some passes, maybe next time.

Well, here’s my 3 readable slips.

Here’s the other 5 not so readable tickets.

I also had a ninth run actually, but that was the one the timing tower forgot to send or whatever so that ticket never made it into my hands.

Ran the same setup at Milan today with 93 tune, 93 gas. According to drag times DA = -120 ft. Had some limited success getting the TCU tune to launch correctly. Dropped pressures to 30F/28R PSI and got the LC to dump at 3k (I think lol). Finally a decent 60’. Unfortunately, zero consistency with the launching.

Dude… 11 anything on 93 is amazing. Well frigging done.

I have to add a bunch of times to the list but I like to give it a week or so in case people do exactly what you just did.

The 25Q B7 S4 is just JHM 93 tune, Trexturk downpipes, and FI catback. He ran a Best of 13.40@103.7 on 93 octane at full weight.

The white Golf R is GIAC stage 2, 93 octane, full weight, ran a best of 13.3x@104.x

Black GTI is Unitronic stage 2, 93 octane, full weight, and ran a best of 14.08@103.9

And to add to my OP, I’m full weight minus spare on 93 octane. DA was right around 0.

“Black GTI is Unitronic stage 2, 93 octane, full weight, and ran a best of 14.08@103.9”

should post that for boro92 in his thread

Just an FYI guys I have about 15 additions to make to the list, and I will endeavour to complete that on Sunday. In oct/nov I don’t rush to update it because most guys go 2 or 3 times and as time drags on DA gets better and times/traps get better. Hence the delay. That’s a convenient excuse anyway, and that’s the one I’m sticking with

I am going to Etown tomorrow. Who’s coming? ;D

Weather will be perfect I think for drag runs.

You should go to the Atco rental with tsivas and Auditude3.0T

180 per car , all the runs you can eat. Wide variety of cars from 12s to 8s.
