i agree. Installed a toggle switch for the ABS so that I can launch the car and not throw out my rear end.

great post. any ideas on when your looking to get to the track

I might go this weekend, Im going to install the new fuel line piece today and check to make sure everything is running well, If I feel its good ill take it down there.

I want to get my exhaust and fmic done first before I run it, but we’ll see.

What track? I might have some spare time this weekend.

Sacramento Raceway.

UPDATE: Replaced the fuel line, logged it at 20 psi and was spiking lean at the engines max torque range (3200-4500 rpms approx.) fuel pressure was 47 psi at idle and climbed smoothly up to 70 psi at redline. Logged another B5 S4 and showed a contant 47 psi at idle and 65psi at WOT… well somethings up. Installed a new pump from JHM. when removing the old one it was a little warm. More then likely straining itself from the pinched line.

Got it back together and logged again, runs perfect, no lean spike  running 23psi and no issues

you guys should get Dan out there…we need a really low 12 run out of the RS4. Although I think the tune server is still down, so he can’t load that 93 octane file unfortunately.

^congrats big time. Nothing better then solving a stubborn problem!

I wish we had 93 octane here, 91 sucks so bad. Dan ran a 12.2x didnt he? not low enough for ya? haha.

Thanks Maddog, it was crappy knowing I was lean spiking 19 afrs’s for the longest time and not knowing it till I pulled my filter.

Gathering up some extra money and getting ready to do the 3’’ DP’s to 4 inch exhaust and JHM FMIC along with water/meth and some other nasty goodness in store… and yes im gonna keep you guys guessing on that.

More minor updates.

Oil leak: pulled it off awhile ago which was leaking from a single pan bolt. Well I clean it and re-sealed it but still leaks. Has a scuff on the pan so it might be damaged, Luckily my old engine didnt leak so when ready for another oil change ill switch them out.

Smog: Could not have went smoother, not much more to say then that.

Track: Who wants to go? I need a video guy. JHM might be there too.

Last, I want to get 17" or 18" wheels. If you have a set with good tires and want to trade or work something out, let me know.

When do you plan on going? I have the 17’s that are on my car now, but don’t have a spare set to swap on. Sac raceway is 90 miles from me, so it depends on the date. Send me a message.

Alex

speaking of, did you solve yours yet?

Rained last night so cancels that.

^^ shame I’m really excited to see what this beast will run. Can’t wait!

yeah shit happens. But it wont be that fast, consider these factors:

No water/meth yet
dual 2.25 tiny exhaust with only piggies
91 octane
19’s
side mount intercoolers

Wouldn’t expect better then a high 12, low 13. It loses some balls up top for sure. Im gathering my shopping list for all the new stuff. Can not wait to have it on there.

so what happpened??? or was that the only test and tune you were thinking of going to?

yeah that was the only day I planned on going but rained. Hopefully ill have my fmic, exhaust, and water/meth done by new years. Then ill run it at the track.

Wow, doin work! Let me know when you think of going to sac. 25 minutes from me. Gladly meet u out there.

dude, just go now, and then again in the new year. Make a bunch of passes and use it as your dyno to see if the mods or accretive, power wise.

alright alright ;D

If this saturday is test and tune and it does not rain ill go. Dec.9th is my b-day next friday so im going to buy and install a JHM FMIC.

Thats my plan ^. Whose going?

contact Dan. If he can get a 93 octane JHM tune on his RS4, he NEEDS to go.

He has been talking lots of shit to George lately (in fun).
