Well for my birthday present to myself (Dec.9) I got my JHM FMIC and my full exhaust done. im just getting a few errands done but ill get some pics up today I promise. ;D

I will say one Thing the b5 only sounds good with dual 3" to single 4" pipes

With your mod list I would think anything short of 11’s would indicate there should be some motor or turbo issues
Im not the biggest fan of them either but they are strong and fast cars and that’s what I like, FAST!

Can’t wait for some sound clips. That’s one thing I am not a fan of and that is the the JHM FMIC, why did they go that route and not with SMIC.
Car is looking like it is coming together nicely. 10’s sound tasty.
I think the choice of fmic over smic was a cost thing, the JHM kit is well priced iirc because the core can be sourced inexpensively
Yeah dsmic’s are easily $2000 for the pair. I think the JHM front mount with the logo on the core looks badass from the front
I had AWE Sidemount Intercoolers, But I went to FMIC because they are way more effective for drag racing. SMIC are more for track because your always turning and you get the side to side air flow. SO right now im selling my AWE SMIC’s. Look in my pics a few pages back you will see them.
I might put the black painted logo on there, I needed it positioned first to see where it sat.
UPDATE:
Going to the track again this saturday. Found out both my EGT’s were toast so had to replace those expensive basterds. will have a new tune to accomodate the new modifications. 11’s should not be a problem. ill try and mount my camera in the car should be cool.

hmmmm, last time your calculated time was 12.75, so I am going with 12.01 maybe a 11.97. These are pure guesses with no real research to back it lol

Got there and my fuel pump crapped which i just replaced, luckily had a backup.
(Past stuff I noticed on the used block) – Remember that weird oil leak I had, well thought it was a bad seal at the oil pan. So I re-sealed it awhile back and still didnt fix the problem. In the back of my head im thinking the block had a hairline crack in it this whole time since this engine was in a front end collision.
first pass… and only pass:
1.7 60 ft. this this was hauling ass! got about half track the oil light comes on, clang clang, sputter sputter, good bye motor.
Time to do another motor pull
Oh shit…that sound when an engine destroys itself on the inside, is one of the worst sounds I have ever heard. As soon as it goes your heart just sinks, I know how you feel.
Finding a motor shouldn’t be that hard, at least you can just pull all the mods off and bolt it straight on. Seeing how it took you like 3 days to do the same thing to the last motor.
Maybe time for bigger turbo’s ;D
Its racing, Im glad it wasnt the turbo, was pushing like 27-28psi.
I think its still under warranty so no worries. If I upgrade the turbos I might go with rs6 plus, heard they are pretty sweet.
Hope it’s under warranty, it would be a bummer if it’s not. Good luck with the replacement, hopefully you speed through the swap like last time.
