Funny thing is, I got the run on video lol! Like a freight train going down the track, Hauling ass and smokin.
My theories with this motor going are two things:
When my fuel line was pinched, it may have leaned out so bad it hurt my motor then. And second, that mystery oil leak, possibly cracked oil passage leading to loss of oil pressure.
ah well, moving forward with things.

Starting the tear down, lots of oil in places where they shouldnt. New block should be here soon. Going to inspect this one very closely this time.
FYI, Im selling my K04 turbos and inlets, interested?
hard to beat K04 turbos. I’d keep them.

I guess if you want to do an engine build etc. I would never bother with a B5. Built engine = levels of power that will shake the car to fucking pieces. You really need a car in perfect shape to go built (500+whp). You find out in a real hurry what the car’s weaknesses are when you go big power. The reason nobody runs 11s anymore in B5 world (let alone the fucking 10s) is because most of the cars just flat can’t handle it. The two biggest heros in B5 land (Adam from Maryland…evilevo? and the other guy from Washington DL4 something or other), both with 600+ whp cars, both struggled to run in the 12s at the strip. Why? Because they’re such bad drivers? No. Their cars are just not healthy as they need to be to go big power and try to put it to the ground. Throw in EPL tuning which is designed to make you fast on the dyno, or only in gear at supersonic speeds (a.k.a. irrelevant shit for real world acceleration) and you have a recipe for fail. That’s why these guys all hide when asked to go to the dragstrip. That’s why they say ‘these cars aren’t made for hte dragstrip’. Bullshit. You’re fucking scared.
400-425 whp/wtq on K04 turbos in a 3500 lbs car is awesome. Run high 11s on pump gas with JHM tuning and proper exhaust/cooling and you’re laughing. Throw in some race and get into the 11s more. That’s ridiculous…and that would stand right beside either of those two other cars in a race from a dig. They shouldn’t, but they do.
People act like it’s easy to go 11s. It’s so not. Just ask EPL/AMD etc.

I was looking for timeslips for Tial cars just to show these guys that all the dyno and FATS crap is a big joke. Don’t be fooled. Everyone thinks all these 500 whp Tial 605 cars on stock motors are legit. They’re not. They’re in-house results from EPL and AMD dynos cars…yeah, that’s impartial. Big shocker. Only 1 Tial car has ever run in the 11s (yes, only one) and it was 11.9. The car was driven by a local guy, nice guy. Notorious VR. He tuned it himself. Just shows how sad EPL really is.

Im not sure what I want to go with but I have a few in mind. Rs6’s are great! i might go with those but… it might not be enough still lol!
hahaha the horsepower war - that’s the problem what is enough, can we expect a single turbo or GT turbo’s in your future.
Depending on where the rest of my piston is I should have a spare 3.0 crank by the end of this month if you choose to go that direction.
Haha pretty much. You’ll expect nothing less then good things, Im not going with GT’s because they just are not that practical for the streets. Gotta rev them really high and that hurts the motor since these were not designed to rev that high. Yes you can build them to rev but I dont want that route.
Single turbo i’ve seen but want to keep things the way audi had it, biturbo. Im throwing a stock block back in it again for now. Later ill pull it again and get really nasty with the build, So that 3.0l crank you got I might pick up from you ;D

New motor is 90% back together. Just have to put the trans on, harness, intake, and the new turbos.

Upgrading to electric fan conversion as well. Water/meth is next. I sure hope this motor is better then the last, from the looks and it does look healthier but does have some miles soo… we’ll see
