You have a thing for BenSTI huh? I assume you are quoting his process for breaking in a motor? Your sarcasm could be misleading to those that don’t know you - I’d suggest placing an emoticon following your statements when sarcasm is intended. Or, if you are serious, please put the glue down.
My car has the stock DP’s installed with all cats in tact.
As far as break in, I’m following AOA’s techline’s guidlines. Nothing special - vary the RPM’s, city driving is advantageous for the first 500 miles, limit revs to 5.5K for first 500 miles, gradual WOT in 1st, 2nd & 3rd up to 4K -5K up an incline to ensure the piston travels the full length of the cylinder at load, no bogging, drop oil at 500 miles. 500+ miles, similar process but can increase rev range to 7K. Drop oil at 1,200 miles. 1,200+ miles = process done. My situtation is different from a new car owner process. The break in cycles are done (differently) at the factory prior to customer/dealership delivery.
