From what I can tell, he claims he bought this JHM clutch second hand from someone. Perhaps new, never installed he bought it.

That’s why Jake was asking in the thread. Everyone jumped on Jake but turns out Jake knew exactly what he was doing by trying to clarify, because he realised if something went wrong and the car flopped (which it did) they would blame the clutch. Sure enough, exactly as Jake predicted.

As I said, JHM has only been selling the 5r for a while and there aren’t many out there…nor are there many that are bought but sitting in a garage uninstalled. You don’t spend $2000 on a clutch to not install it. There was one available from a guy who supercharged his car, but decided to buy a different car before installation. WAhpao bought that car (extra clutch included) and sold it a few weeks ago to someone out west. So I’m skeptical that there’s ANOTHER brand new 5R that was sold second hand. Reality is that we will never likely know since this guy seems intent on deceiving everyone.

I had to ask for it when I got my 5R because it is not listed on the website. It is not expensive ($100 I think) but still that means that he would have had to call and speak with JHM.

Also he is running a SPEC clutch now with the JHM LW flywheel?

Something doesn’t add up to me.

I agree with everyone here. Pics were asked of the clutch BEFORE he took it out. He took no pics of the JHM clutch to show failing BUT took pics of the new SPEC clutch. Give me a fucking break. Lying POS!

I wouldn’t take that bet even if he had pictures. I keep saying almost everything thus guy says is been a lie why would anyone believe him on the clutch. I see two reasons for him to say it was a 5r and I think we all know he didn’t have a Jhm anything in the car. I think he said it was a 5r because Jhm and it’s products actually have a good rep he has a shit rep so by saying his non existent jhm clutch didn’t hold he was trying to make it look like his slower then stage 1 supercharger times were because he was making all this power.

SPEC clutches have hilarious failure rates. Wouldn’t touch them with a 10ft pole. That’s going to end well no doubt.

His car is performing better than I thought it would all things considered. Over 124mph trap speed at 8 psi (if we can believe that particular claim) with a pretty stock looking car/interior and that “spoiler” is pretty good for a first go with this setup. Whoever did the ECU appears to know their ass from their elbow at least.

I see the shit show is still in full force. Don’t you see it fellas, it’s all part of his play - to trash the competition. Even though we all know he is not a competition to the SC kits on today’s market. Actually not even on the same map and never will be. During this miracle of a turd twin turbo build thread/s, he managed to trash his old set up which is PES, then JHM, then APR, and now back to JHM. That’s just part of the plan, trash others in the process to make your “product” look good. I stopped following his threads a while ago, utter bs from a known scam artist. It’s actually quite sad a few members over on AZ are giving him attention…
