Sorry once again. I’m sure you know how frustrated I am for you. Thanks for the kind words on the tune. Fact is you hunter and all the people I have helped with will tell you that the first tune that goes on any car I work with is CONSERVATIVE.
Still lets take a second. I realize that most on AZ have little to no knowledge mechanically and less on tuning. If I was able to tune a car to break 4 rods at once. That, to be honest would just be flat out impressive. Parts like rods break due to Tq (well there are other mechanical reasons) but tune related if you make strong power your stressing components and the tune would be part of helping the car make power. I think this is a simple case of. Things break. We can speculate all day why. We can search this and that but if were looking to be helpful AZ isn’t the place for good direction CLEARLY.
HOWEVER we are lucky enough to have one of the top pioneers in self tuning the Me system in Snow Trooper. There is a little known box in the ECU that gives you the ability to break rods whenever you wish. In excitement and hopes that I could spend even more time with Corbett on his project I checked the box to break 5 rods… I seemingly fell short 1 rod BUT the motor has yet to be torn apart.
Yes Corbett I was looking to do YET another motor pull with you.

As both of us know from experience, At lower rpm cylinder pressure is higher. And when you have a quick spooling turbo like the RS6 and a stock block with a MBC that tq spike can be killer. I was at this same point with my s4 as corbett and now i have a built 3L with Billet rs6 turbos
