S4, A6 Dragstrip Day

^^ The middle part of that quote is my response. I’ve been experiencing some technical difficulties on AR recently, along with no option to edit my posts . . .

That was probably a good starting point but if you are spinning as others have said(haven’t seen the vids) I would have dropped 2psi on each corner until I quit spinning… This will hurt very little up top assuming you don’t go too low but will help the 60’s very much so…

I was just poking fun at the Ryan situation. I’m not shooting to be the fastest A6 by any means but I do thoroughly enjoy running the 1/4 and I would love to improve my times whether it be by different techniques or new mods.

I plan to head back with my new intake running out of fender/fog area and summer tires mounted at some point in the next couple weeks; hopefully Clochner and ZCD can make it as well. I’ll log my next set of runs as well.

Long term, I am planning on having CPT develop a custom “CPS” system for me and maybe even some downpipes. Maybe some fashionable lightweight summer wheels as well. I really want a TCU tune with a raised redline, snappier shifts, and a higher torque limit but my attempts to have one developed have left me empty-handed. JHM offered to develop something but there has been some miscommunication regarding it so I’ll have to give them a call soon.

Otherwise, does anyone know of a respectable company that would be willing to fiddle with the TCU? I would then need to have APR re-tune my ECU to work in unison with the raised revs. Maybe I can convince them to try working something up for my tiptronic…

So the appropriate thing to do is insert “fastest stock-catted A6!” into my signature and then proceed to argue with every single person who mentions “A6” and “1/4” in the same sentence, right? Heck, maybe I’ll mention that my A6 is faster than primetime’s A6 as well…

My dad ran a 12.5 in his A6. I used a stopwatch to get his et. Oh, and he was going down hill. The stopwatch did have a IHRA sticker on it. Again, for the stupid people out there, I only put “the fastest S4 in the world” as a jab to primetime. I believe he had that title on one of his forum accounts. AW maybe? To be honest I really don’t think I have the fastest S4 in the world…I have the fastest S4 in the universe!

Probably answered. Standard EVO X rear diffuser, owner upgraded to Single exhaust instead of the more restrictive stock Dual exhaust, which is really just a single, until the rear of the car.

Hey, that’s a good idea prime…yankedoodle should take his car to 41 and see what it runs. It would be nice to see how much faster he would be on a non sanctioned track. As for me, I’m going to try Byron this weekend, then rt66 the following weekend. It will be my last runs without cats, so I hope the weather is good.

Meant to say last runs with cats.

Why was it running 15s if it is an evolution?

I was just poking fun. The comments about arguing with everyone and primetime were just joke about AZ B8 S4 discussion in general, nothing against you.

Don’t remember having that in my sig? It’s all good either way… I think Ken was kidding with his post but whatever… Hope you run some good numbers the next few weekends… looking forward to the results…

No prob, I get it. Just been on the defense lately. I try not to get sucked in to the ignorant comments, but someone says something stupid, and I can’t control my self. Come out to Byron this weekend! If you can’t make that how about 66 the following Saturday?

Thanks! I swear I saw it somewhere. I thought it was hilarious. Had to copy it.

Ryn - are u in the Chicago area?

Yes, just west of Joliet in Shorewood. How about you?

Ah yes. Just remembered your posts on AZ. I’m downtown. Will be heading back to GLD soon.

You know I’m always down. Going to try and have the new intake installed by then.

Ryan, I’ll be down for to do RT66 and Byron too but GLD seems to be a good place to make several passes in a relatively short period of time. Since I’m new to this, I want to experiment with tire pressures, cool-downs, etc. before venturing to another location that might not allow me as many runs.

Still, I’m more than willing to visit RT66/Byron so long as my schedule allows it.
