I’ve never been but the first class terminal at Frankfurt looks absolutely brilliant (YouTube is the closest I’ll get)
Yeah it’s nice…inwill say that airport has more stairwells than I care for , feel like I went up twice down once up once more and down twice.
Here are the details on the porsche rental :

Also that website is great for finding the best ways to use your pointa
A colleague used to have a great plan for his points. He would say fly to Paris for a vacation. To get there, you might need to stopover once in Germany or UK or somewhere. He would seek out flights with multiple stops. i.e. one stop in London, one stop in Berlin, and on to Paris. Sounds absurd right?
But then he would delay the stopover. i.e. he flies Toronto to London and lands on Friday at 7 am. original scheduled connecting flight was 9am. he would defer it to Monday at 7 am. Then spend 3 days in London, before heading off to Berlin. Same deal there…defer for 4 days…then head off to Paris.
That way he could have a European tour for the points it cost him for one flight to Europe.
Pretty ingenious. Not sure if it still works, but he used to work the shit out of the system. i.e. NorCal/SoCal…Boston/NewYork…etc.
Yeah, its also more “cost effective” since you aren’t too constrained with flight times. Pretty good tactic!
I should have went Special Operations when I was younger. Pretty badass new transport.
If this is your thing then head over to flyertalk.Com. they get in arguments about such routings like we do about superchargers. The converse is also true. If you need to rack some miles for status and have some time, you can do some pretty crazy routings

I guess the Canadian Parliament is on lockdown for a shooting in and around the building?..didn’t know Canadia allowed guns.
Shit, is Ford high again?
actual ignorance or a joke?
^^ Actually, what are the rules for guns in Canada? I was under the assumption that you guys generally have stricter gun control laws than us (e.g., conceal/carry).
Referring to the lockdown = no joke
Referring to Canadia’s gun control laws = joke

well you can’t buy one at a community center because there’s a gun show on, so there’s that. But frankly I think it’s not drastically different from many states. You can have handguns, but can’t cruise around with them. You can have long guns, same thing.
If you check gun ownership per capita, we’re probably top 10% of countries on earth. We’re not very good at murdering with guns though.
For an update, the Canadian Forces soldier at the memorial who was shot, has died.
The shooter who ran from there, into our parliament (like the capitol for america), was shot dozens of times and has also died.
He shot two people on his way in, including one parliamentary guard and one Parliament staffer, and they are both in stable condition.
There was a third location/shooting nearby, but very little is known on that
It appears there were 2 or maybe 3 armed individuals.
Jihadists?
[quote]The drama unfolded just before 10 a.m., two days after two Canadian soldiers were run over – and one of them killed – in Quebec by a man with jihadist sympathies. And on Tuesday, Canada had raised its domestic terror level from low to medium due to “an increase in general chatter from radical Islamist organizations like ISIL, Al Qaeda, al-Shabab and others who pose a clear threat to Canadians,” said Jean-Christophe de Le Rue, a spokesman for the public safety minister.

Jihadists?
Yes, for sure they were
There was a guy whose facebook was riddled with islamic bullshit and anti christian, anti west bullshit. He was an otherwise normal kid from Quebec. White kid. Then he ‘found Islam’. He changed his name to Ahmud or something, changed his facebook name to Ahmud the Converted, grew the standard terrorist beard, and was trying to fly over to fight with ISIS. At the airport, they stopped him, and took away his passport (the RCMP had been watching him for months thanks to Islamic extremist bullshit). Unfortunately they didn’t shoot him dead, because a few months later he ran his car over two soldiers as part of his jihad for ISIS, and was shot to death by the cops. One soldier died. This was yesterday.
Then today, this guy at Parliament Hill pulls out a rifle, and kills a reservist standing guard at the tomb of the unknown soldier, then makes his way into parliament and shoots a couple of more people before getting shot 30 times by the parliament’s seargent at arms. The gunman was dressed all black, wearing a black and white arabic scarf. aka ISIS.
Will be interesting when his name is released
^^
Makes me wonder if all this had any ties to the Soldier that jumped the fence to “warn” Mr. Obama about the sky falling.
This past week during roll call, we ALL got notice about ISIS chatter on targeting public officials to include police officers.
Hmm…
A Chicago-area teen was recently indicted for attempting to join ISIS. They caught him at O’Hare boarding a flight to Turkey or something. The Feds found a bunch of jihadi bullshit at his house. Then yesterday I heard a couple of teenage girls were caught trying to do the same thing. What the fuck is the matter with these people wanting to flee relatively free, affluent societies to live a neanderthal lifestyle well-suited for the dark ages?
Fuck the Islamic State and their pussy jihadists. We should be doing more to annihilate them.
It is getting pretty out of hand with thesed symapthizers. Like the tow Swiss girls who ran off to join later realizing it wasn’t such a good idea. I saw round em up, and send them over there to join their cause!
^^ and THAT is why I never supported Obama’s 100% pull out of Iraq.
Bring the boys home, yes but ALWAYS leave a small contingency behind to make sure shit like this didn’t spill over…but nooo, Senor Obama wanted boots off the ground for good.
America has ALWAYS had boots on the ground, regardless of conflict or consultation; To state otherwise is just redonkulous.
