Sneak peak..

My car is under way… Manifold is all tacked up and ready for welding… I decided to do a full cage to 8.50 cert with a removable chute too, that’ll be next…

twin scroll, cool stuff… cant wait to see what it does

Wow, that is one awesome looking setup.

I had to clean 1/2 a gallon of drool off my keyboard. Definitely can’t wait to see what this does too.

Wow Justin, that is beautiful! Who is doing the manifold work?

X2, didn’t realize you were going that route. Great looking manifold.

Thanks everyone, this is the beginning of a few changes on the car for this upcoming race season… I will keep updating this thread as we move along… The manifold is being made by a friend of mine with my head behind the design… Short runners, as close to symmetrical as we can get, firing order in mind, etc… One big thing is the turbo is going to be breathing fresh air finally… The old cast manifold placed the inlet about 2-3" behind the radiator, and breathing hot shitty air… lol…

Breathe!!!

Wiggins are going to be replacing the silicon junk too…

Javad sent me a bunch of presents too, here’s a look at one pretty piece… This was the first prototype hot off the presses custom anodized for me and all… ;D

More updates to come…

Damn there are some sexy car parts there

And love the headlight mod

jason. Seriously your the king of the B5s for me. this is one of the most exciting project Ive seen in a while. The 2.7 is great but this Vr6 project is something that will deffinitly dominate and be the new measureing stick.

I trully hate you. What great work.

looking good justin!

I almost went to a front mount for this new year but decided to put the $$ into other areas of the car. Getting antsy for track season, i refuse to be busy the whole time like last year.

There are not words for how impressive this looks. Excited to see the results this year. Your combination is something to wow over that’s for sure.

This is a beautiful thing. Forced induction on a properly built VR6 motor = win.

inline 6 to one big turbo = violence. Going to be fun to watch the car develop.

Justin!! LOL… It’s funny, when people mistake my name, they always say Jason… My brother and brother in law are both Jason’s too… Thanks, I appreciate all the compliments and support from all of you guys, It’s nice to have this forum with some good people and no bullshit attached…

oh wow, wiggins clamps… you’re gonna have more in clamps then my car is worth lol

Thanks Jared… I can’t wait to see your car get out there this season, I’m expecting big things… I’m doing a bunch of changes to the car, not only the motor stuff, but some drive line stuff and all the safety stuff as well… I’m pretty excited about getting the manifold done and getting the car over to my other friends shop for the chassis work. I think the car is going to look bananas after… Full cage with side bar swing out, removable stroud pro stock chute and all… I was thinking how much it would suck to go to the track and get the boot after a pass… They are pretty strict over here. What changes have you made for this season?

LOL… With vibrant releasing those Vanjen clamps, the wiggins have come down to something semi-considerable… Luckily I only have 3 connections and the throttle body which I might vband if I can figure out how to take the electronics out to weld it.

those vanjen clamps look interesting, never even heard of them until now.

any idea on when you are planning on running the car/which track? It’d be great to see it at waterfest

I was going to do the vanjens myself, even though I hate the way Vibrant plasters their logo on everything… They are pretty nice pieces actually… When the wiggin’s prices shot down shortly after the vanjens came out, I decided to pay a little extra and get the OG clamps… It’s a nice bonus that I went with the purple anodized theme too and the wiggins fit right in… ;D

My goal is spring show and go in april, I have a lot of work still so I cant say for sure… Waterfest unfortunately I wont be at this year, I’ll be in Spain for 3 weeks in July, my wedding in Barcelona on July 14th, then Honeymooning all over Spain for the following weeks… I will be at the world cup and a lot of the NSCRA events running in the true street class… I am building the car around that class, and within all the rules for it. I think one or two true street cars have squeaked into the 8’s, at least the Evan’s tuning true street integra that crashed on their 8 second pass after the traps… So unless everyone is having a rough day, and I’m havign a great one, I’ll really be out there for fun and to support a few friends who have VW’s that are actually real competitors on the class.

congrats on the wedding, sounds like quite the trip.

Whats the deal with show and go? Worth the trip from Central Mass?

Thanks a lot man… As for show and go, honestly id say it’s not worth it for you, but it depends what you’re in to… If you like drag racing, there will probably only be a fist full of fast cars there… A bunch of my friends have a few fast fwd vw’s, one has a rwd front engine dragster corrado, and there may be another one finally busting out his front engine dragster jetta… So there really isn’t much worth wild racing going on, besides them, me and a few other randoms usually… I don’t know about the show aspect, but I’ve heard its ok, just not my scene.
