So what's happening with the B6 S4 TT V8 @ JHM from Canada?

Is that thing ever going to be finished?

Last I’ve heard the auto tranny is finally going to be swapped out for a manual.

I was under the impression JHM scrapped the 4.2 turbo program a while ago

Last I heard it was still ongoing. Taking collossally long to finish.

Funny thing is Notorious VR is friends (or friends of a friend) with BlueRocket, whose car it is. Notorious should know exactly what is going on with the car, and unfortunately this thread is just a troll thread to drum up some negative publicity for JHM.

I guess that’s how he’s choosing to deal with getting called out for trash talking Count Vohn in the war room logging thread. Shame.

It’s funny because it’s not even completely close to true what you’re trying to say here.

Yes I know the owner of the car. I rarely speak with him though… I think just recently has he come back from his deployment.

It was an honest question, because I know for the longest time JHM was trying to make it work w/ the Auto tranny… last I heard there was issue with being able to program the TCU to deal with the power.

I will be honest though that I told the owner many times that the auto tranny wasn’t going to hold the power. I’ve seen how they cope with just normal V8 TQ… I couldn’t imagine that it would like twin turbo v8 TQ at all.

Saki, amazing how wrong you can be about something huh? Like this thread.

I always start threads on the internet when I want to know something about someone’s car I know personally. That’s how everyone does it, isn’t it? Quick call? Email? Text? Naah. Start a thread on a site the car-owner is NOT a member of and then see what happens. That’s the modern way.

Sure thing bud. Sure thing.

You seem to do almost exactly that quite a bit too.

lol really? Got an example?

Another great example of you talking out of your ass.

lol… you know I just did a search of your username on AZ.

Amazing the percentage of threads you’ve started that you created JUST to get a reaction out of people.

Have you actually ever done anything useful on a forum? Participated, given knowledge? You’re all just about stirring the pot when ever you find a chance to do so.

I’m not denying I’ve done that (start threads to provoke a discussion or air an issue that needs aired). I’m a massive shit disturber on forums. Are you saying that like it’s worthy of CNN Breaking News? I like asking hard questions and getting to the bottom of things.

What I don’t do is start threads asking questions about things in my friends’ cars’ lives. That’s preposturous and the answer is obviously easier obtained directly from the friend.

You started this thread to jab at JHM, not to learn jack shit, and when I called you out on it, you denied it. Now I guess you’re admitting it? At least be fucking honest.

Go read what I posted (ironically earlier today) about this build in the other thread. As you can see, I think it’s horrible how long this has gone on. Is that what you want to say? Start a thraed about that and I’ll post right alongside you saying ‘WTF JHM…why is this taking so long?’

But don’t fucking sneak around.

Here’s what I posted in reply to AXel earlier today on this very subject:

Saki called some people on their B.S. So what? He’s posted up 1/4 mile times, logs, helped out members, answered questions, provided interesting debate. I understand the two of you are at each other’s throats right now, but that’s a bit of a stretch.

This brings to question. Why are you here? All you’ve done is argue, and trash talk EVERYONE on here. It’s clear that a lot of us hold Count Von and JHM in very high regard. I could write a book about the things I’ve personally learned from CV, and JHM is undeniably one of the best companies out there for Audi related performance. So yes everyone gets a bit edgy when you slander their names.

I stayed out of the logging thread argument because I didn’t have much input and it was interesting, but this is getting a bit played out already. You are just arguing for the sake of arguing. You’re a smart guy and have done a lot with your car. Why not just post something of use to other members instead?

You’re delusional man. Not everyone is out to get someone.

We all know you’re only purpose is to start shit and drag it though the dirt as long as possible. It’s the only thing you’re good at I suppose.

There’s no sneaking around going on. Don’t listen to the voices Saki.

I haven’t trash talked anyone actually. I’m here because I thought there might be some interesting discussions happening here. But really what I’ve found out is that it’s just a big circle jerk of people who were probably friends before, migrated to AR and think they’re the cool kids on the block.

If you take a step back and look at the many threads in here that have the same few people getting on others backs it’s really quite amusing.

WTF are you talking about. Where did I slander JHM at all? You people are all fucking delusional.

You might as well just stay out anyway… That thread is full of garbage now.

I could ask the same thing of a few members on here.

Why even worry about the TT setup? The supercharger setup makes way more sense in every aspect of performance. I’m not gonna lie, I was excited about it when it was first mentioned, but making smooth linear power on a TT setup is almost impossible, and it’s a lot more likely to bend rods.

Maybe it’s the cool BOV sound everyone wants, not a monster with a centrifugal supercharger that you can barely hear…

I dunno, I’m a turbo guy @ heart always have been. Technology has some a long way even for S/C’s but I think tuning is playing the biggest role in power these cars are going to make.

I was pretty stoked to finally be able to see a TT setup on a V8 Audi regardless of the colossal amount of work it must be to get it all to fit under the hood.

Guess you missed the RS6? That’s pretty significant.

For the record, the twin turbo or tuning part of the build are not the hard part. Not even close. There are a few twin turbo cars that JHM has built for people. A couple in Europe on that list. One was count vohn’s own car (a tiptronic ironically) that he put the kit on when fabbing it up.

The problem with bluerocket’s car is that he wanted built motor, massive power. Who doesn’t? Well the JHM research into the 4.2 has found that at about 450 whp the internals have problems. Rods are the weak link, but the pistons aren’t much better. They had a supercharged B6 running 490 whp on 034’s dyno at one point trying to blow it to see where the limit was. A more violent torque curve did the trick. Then they did it again. Then Count Vohn’s turbo car with an improperly installed boost gauge was the next one. I could put my fist throught the hole in the block that the piston created when it was ‘jettisoned’.

So the 450 whp mark is where JHM wants the stock motor to stay below. Get beyond that and you’re looking at spaghetti’d rods.

What’s next…‘drop in rods’ you might say? NIX. Pistons too? NIX. It’s far more complicated. They basically needed to re work the entire block. I’ve been lucky enough to hear some of what they worked on when meeting with the JHM guys, but I wont share it here as it’s their business to do that. Anyway, this is the delay with these cars…it’s the motor build part of the equation. That’s why it’s taking so long. Because 91GL wanted to go supercharged, he was able to leave his motor with JHM and use his second motor with stock internals and the ‘stage 1’ supercharger setup. BlueRocket’s car was far more complicated…they couldn’t ‘detune’ his car and just give it back to him while they completed the motor build project. I believe they offered him back his car with the stage 1 supercharger instead of waiting for this massive build, but since he didn’t take that option, he appears to be in it for the long haul. Good guy. Again, we owe him.

I’m sure if Notorious VR really wants to know, he need only ask his friend to explain more to him.

I agree that the TT news was exciting, but there are so many more things that go into a setup. The extra lines, intercoolers, how to route the intake and exhaust. I could see a TT kit possibly being $5000 more than the supercharger setup, with not much more, if any power advantage. I think with a TT kit, the B6/B7’s will turn into big turbo B5s and their obsession with 60-130 times, rather than having a car that is fast as balls from 0-130.

I know it’s all personal opinion, but is it more fun to make a passenger shit their pants from a dig to 100mph, or mash the gas at 60 and pull to 130. I know what I choose, not to mention half of the guys with the B5 BT cars can’t even drive.

Thats funny. Just so happens i talked to Bluerocket yesterday to congratulate him on some recent RL stuff and see what was up with the car.

No timeframe yet, its still a work in progress. However it wont be an automatic for long. Its getting a manual swap.

Cool didn’t know that it was such an in depth build. Pretty much I was told the car was running @ some point with the auto tranny… it was running on race has or E85 even? Had a few races and has since been taken apart again and the auto tranny is out and it’s getting a 6 speed now.

That is really getting old stop assuming, it’s making you look very stupid when you talk like you know me or my friends.

My one specific friend who knows the owner doesn’t know anything about the build like you just explained, and I don’t talk with Senan (I assume that is Bluerocket?) at all really. So it seems my assumptions were correct making a thread on here is the best way to get information. Thanks for proving my point.

Now take your head out of the clouds and come back to reality and admit you’re wrong.

From what I know. the TT car has taken a good amout of time toget done NOT BECAUSE OF THE KIT. because JHM isn’t willing to let the customer use a untested motor. All the guys including me. KNOW and KNEW taht the JHM motors are a complete reconstructive prosses.

So the project is moving along and the owner of the car has decided to make changes. FROM what I know JHM has gone out of there way to make sure this long wait was well worth it.

So props to JHM and the oweer of the TT car. the TT car is just one of 5 by the way.
