So JHM guys took my car to the track last night as I couldn’t go do to work, we wanted to test my stage 1 + set up, and this is the results, w room for more:)

Awesome, glad your car is performing. Wow, Stage 1+ I just realized too. Can you confirm what fuel was used etc? This way the folks who run the 1/4 list can add all of the appropriate details.

Yea once i go pick up my car tomorrow ill get all the details!

Awesome times Denis! Glad to see the car performing so well!

smokes…so 11.3 @ 122 on stage 1+

wonder what the + means…intercooler, smaller pulley (smaller than stage 1, but bigger than the previously tested stage 2 from the looks of it)

the tune is a 91 octane tune I believe so octane won’t be much of a factor. Once the car is making power and not pulling timing, there’s not much gain to going much beyond pump levels, so I imagine they went with 93.

DA last night at Sac was excellent at -900

Now let’s compare something

Denis stage 1+ vs. Flying Tomatoes APR stage 3

8 PSI vs. 16-17 PSI difference is astounding
$12,000 vs $16,000 difference is significant even today with the price drop
-900 DA vs. -3000 DA 2100 feet difference is about 6% of power…huge difference although both intercooled
11.39 vs. 11.29 1 tenth…that’s it?
122 vs. 125 3 mph…significant gap, indicates about 30 whp difference

The DA alone is, all else being equal, a 6% factor for power. These are ~450 whp cars, and that means around 27 whp difference. Interestingly that lines up with the trap speed difference perfectly.

So JHM stage 1+ = APR stage 3

Funny…makes you wonder why ANYONE would buy an APR kit other than so they can show it off more readily at car shows. And if that’s the case, if that’s your goal, you shouldn’t own a performance car at all (if all you’re interested in is talking about your car rather than accelerating!)

Wow! Very nice time… I saw Saki post this in Pete’s thread so glad it’s posted over here… What is all done to the car? I’m assuming you can share that? Just curious really…

Great job by JHM!

based on previous modlists…and what I’ve beaten out of JHM

JHM stage 1+ (JHM Vortech + intercooler)
around 8 PSI boost
ebwerks downpipes and catback
maybe lw wheels (based on pics he has some aftermarket wheels, but RS4 wheels are pretty light for their size already at 26.7 lbs)
maybe lw rotors
pump gas and 91 file

That’s a mix of info from Denis’ car on past runs, and the JHM stage 1+ setup…but I’m not certain. May have used stock wheels (they wanted to try this) and stock or JHM exhaust.

this should be interesting if he’s still running the ebwerks exhaust system…

I don’t think they changed the exhaust , and i told them if they had a spare set of stock wheels they could use , but not sure if they did, i will get all the info when i go there tomorrow!

Car was left exactly as is. Your wheels your exhaust.

So awesome to see/read this! Glad to see your car is running well Sir!! Kudos to JHM for continuing to advance the S4/rs4 platform!

:o :o :o excellent results denis you must be over the moon!.

now if anyone from jhm is reading,

Just some comparison, my best run Against stage 1+

It’s not just 1 vs 1+… It’s you driving stage 1 in shit da vs Jason@jhm driving 1+ in excellent da

Can’t forget that

These are great results. Something to be very happy about good for you. Please let us know your thoughts on the difference when you get the car back and drive it

Thanks for sharing. Not bad for Stage 1+! Glad to see your beast running as it should. Enjoy the heck out of it!

So Stage 2 would be what - high 10s, just curious.

From the long list of jhm supercharger results it seems to stack up like this

Stage 1 is in the low 12’s to higher 11s range.
Stage 1+ would be in the mid to lower 11s range
Stage 2 the results that we have already seen from the jhm stage 2 results were 10.7

So a nice range
