WOw read this again and kinda forgot how good the JHM stage 1 + did. When you look at those results it really crushes just about everything else espically when you look at the cost
^^^not to mention the stage 1+ kit can turn into a stage 2 or 3 kit with JHM whereas APR is a dead end. Although it’s a great place to run out. not many people are pushing for much more than Lamborghini Murcielago or R8 5.2 V10+ performance (low 11s@ 125ish)
Im happy w the power, and my last stage if i will keep the car for very long time will be the built motor!
Was really hoping for a bit more information than this, we know you are satisfied, tell/show us more about the 1+!
Denis isn’t the most technical guy and I’m sure you can assume the advantage of the 1+ kit, or at least I hope.
I believe JHM is only offering in house installs for the 1+ as of now.
The 1+ we know runs a little more boost and will obviously keep the air charge cooler, so expect more power with less loss of power due to heat soak. The 1+ should also run pretty nice in hot and cold climates or all year round if you experience all seasons.
What other info are you looking for that you can’t figure out on your own?

Euro, got you, perhaps got spoiled with the other build threads on the Stage 1 that showed quite a bit of information and photo’s as build progressed.
Yes, fully understand the faster better etc. just thought it would be nice to get a few pic’s from under the hood showing the location etc. of the charged cooler but I guess until such time that JHM release the 1+ for self install we will have to go with what information we have for the time being. Unless it all already out there and I just missed it completely,if so then my apologies!

It’s basically going to be a similar setup like the B6/7 S4 with Stage 2 kits. Just use Google images for some photos. It’s an A/W setup with the intercooler located where the factory airbox was and the reservoir under the rain tray where the secondary ECU is located. I know that is a very general vague description and I’m not sure what needs modified, but hopefully the option will be available for DIYs eventually.

Not that bad technically:) but I didn’t take any pictures of the installation, and I didn’t do a built thread for this, i should have:( i only took few pictures of the engine bay after the installation of the stage 1 and stage 1+.
But what euro said sounds pretty much on point,so basically we got the vortech intercooler in there w a smaller pulley and more boost, change some hoses and done, the car on cooler weather is even faster you definitely can feel that !

Busy with my Stage 1 install and will go 1+ when/if JHM release the upgrade for DIY.
You wont regret,i cant never go back stage 1 only:) !if they dont release make a trip out of it and come down here for it!
First off congrats on the jhm stage 1 kit. The stage 2 as you and all of us saw adds quite a bit more power. The cool thing is the kit is compact enough to be concealed quite easy. But it has the largest intercooler out of any FI application out there. The proven inter cooler has been used for almost 20 years by 800 whp and more domestic guys now adapted to fit the audi
I think your doing it right get your stage 1 installed and running right that install on its own tales some work. You would think knowing how jhm does there testing and release of products that the stage 1 plus should be out sometime mid summer.

I was dreaming about that stage 1 for well over a year before I eventually pulled the trigger and ordered the kit.
More than halfway with the install and is busy with the exiting part now actually start bolting on the new parts hope to button everything up over the next 2 months. Taking my time though as I don’t need the car for commuting so making sure I do everything right.
