St.Thomas Dragway last kick.

So my last few ventures to the track have been a bit of a cluster F$#K to say the least. I was at Milan with a bunch of the guys from the forum a few weeks ago and I had a massive boost leak, which was horrible. I only ran a couple times and then shut it down. Got to meet a few of the guys though so that was cool.

Then, the following day I fixed the boost leak and tried to meet up with a couple other guys like s4matty, jspazz & Alessandro. Well, we drove all the way there just to find out they closed. After a quick re fill up, Alessandro and I rushed to St.Thomas dragway to get in a few passes. I was able to get in about 4 passes that day.

I was able to run (3) - 11.7’s and (1) 11.8. (See two of the 4 slips below) Best run being 11.74@118.46 w/ 1.71 60ft. I wasnt 100% sure on DA, but I think it was around 400 plus/minus (I will confirm) These runs I used VP 109

Fast-forward to Yesterday. DA was awesome, about -80. But track prep was another story. Not horrible, but not great also. Sparta (St.Thomas Dragway) only likes to prep one lane, and leaves the other lane in rough shape. They don’t let you run in the prep lane unless you have slicks or you complain and justify. If they do let you run in the prep lane with street tire, they make you do a little burst to clean them off. The rough lane had guys in trucks with big dirty mudders.

I was trying some new gas. Sunoco 260GT plus

I was able to pull off (2) 11.6’s one in the crappy lane before all the trucks came and it went to sh#t and one in the prep lane after complaining and being 2 sec. quicker than guys with slicks.

Best run of the day. 11.65@119.30 mph w/ 1.68 60ft.

Best 60ft to date was a 1.61 @ Milan.

Overall I was searching for a 11.5 but I am more than happy to be in the 11.6 category. I was kinda pushing for Jones to get into the 11.4s but he still have a decent shot with the 11.56 considering hot lapping was a bit difficult. Until next year!

My Mod List.

GIAC Stage 2 w/ TCU tune
AMS Alpha Boost Cooling System
GMG Crank Pulley
USP Air Intake
AWE Full touring edition Exhaust w/ resonated downpipe
Eurocode sway bars + end llinks
LW wheels w/ Kumho street tire
034 trans mount
p3cars vent gauge

I have a couple in car vids and My wife shot a couple vids. I will upload them and put them in here a little later when I have time to put them on Youtube.

Very nice time all around… Great 60, et and trap… Wish they showed your 1/8 #'s… They must have had a timer out… I’m interested in the vids so please put them up when you have the time… Good stuff!

Thanks Ron. I think it was showing the 1/8 initially. But than the timer was not showing people time after 20min from the starting of the session so they fixed the timer and reduced what they were showing on the slips.

Here is a in car vid of my 11.68@118.97 run againts a 03 Mercedes C230 Kompressor with a V12 twin turbo AMG SWAP. LOL. I believe the guy is Jeff’s buddy. The thing hauls a$$ once it gets going.

Here is the wrinkled version of the slip that shows both of us.

Video off my GoPro. I only have 3 in car vids and my camera died. However, I know my wife has videos on her phone.

C-class with the v12 TT, now that is a cool swap. I bet traction can be an issue in that car.

holy shit! Pretty funny. I used to have one of those.

Had a great time with you guys. It’s too bad I flashed the stock file back into the car accidentally.

Hopefully we get one more oppurtinity this year.

lololol nice one

sucks that you drove all the way there after that.

So that’s what happened. Interesting, I remember saying, “those look like stock times!”

Thanks again for your hospitality.

Nice to meet you buddy. We have all had those days when we F ish up. Hopefully you get another crack at it before season is over. I would like to see your times.

did he serve some ouzo to warm you guys up?

Awesome times Glenn! Happy to see your car is running strong. We should definitely have another meet to kick off next season!

Had a chance to go back to St Thomas today for a private track rental. I installed the file in the car that I should have had the last time we met instead of the stock file.

Results were pretty good I think.

I ran a beta pump file with a mix of petro 94 and Sunoco gtx 98 octane. The car has a cts intake, CTS supercharger pulley and the Jhm overdirve crank pulley.
Best of the day 11.66@118.
Video to follow

What tune are you beta testing?

I thought we were friends? I could have use that invite card??? Also…How much did they charge to rent the track?

JHM
Same as at Milan

Milan was 12.07@113.83. This was the first file tested. Pump gas , bleeding hella boost.

Today was I believe the second revision. Appears to be better lol.

This car is already making waves this early? Awesome. Looking forward to a straight pump run that sets the record

Wow very competitive times. That puts you up there with the other top guys. Nice to see all the good company’s doing well at this. These types of results just backs up what all of the top B8 S4 guys are talking about. You have these junk company’s posting dyno numbers and nothing else. It seems like they have something to hide and it appears they must because here is a nice result from jhm a company known for doing well.

Great results for giac APR and now it looks like jhm.

Wow… That’s impressive… Nice work CV! Do you know the DA Saki?

Density altitude appears to be around 600-700 for St Thomas on Monday at 4pm

58-60 degrees
30.1 in/hg
40 degree dew point
Track is 650’ elevation

Try St Thomas yesterday noonish. Probably excellent. It’s around 400-500 feet elevation but it was cold yesterday. Like 40 f

Actually you’ll need to use cayuga
