Hit the strip today.
We rented it out this afternoon. No prep. Just us.
Ran stock with 93
APR stage 1 with 93
Got to 5 miles and put in 100, did a pass and the switched to APR stage 1 100.
Guess the time and trap! Results posted tomorrow.

Can I ask the time of day for DA reference? Full weight? Mess with tire pressure? Ill guess…
11.9 at 118 1.7x 60 ft stock
11.5 at 122 1.7x 60 ft tuned
11.3 at 124 1.6x 60 ft on race
hopefully you had a few cars there, including 3 TVSr1740 cars?
So you ran it stock, on 93
then you ran it tuned, on 93? Or on 100 but with the 93 tune?
THen you ran it on race?
My guesses if you went stock, 93 on 93 and race on race and the DA was less than 1000 feet:
11.7 @ 118.0
11.35 @ 125.5
11.04 @ 128.5
Both stock and APR 93 were on 93. APR 100 was on 100 with 5 miles (whatever that is) of 93 left in the tank. I insisted running 100 last so we wouldn’t contaminate the results.
I’ll check the DA tomorrow. Weather was in the 70s. Time slips say the 16th. Video and more info all tomorrow.
Careful. Some ‘Intrepid’ users might dispute your 100 results. You know, saying it’s not pure 100 and all that… :-p
Looking forward to the kids and slips!
Err… Vids… Damn autocorrect…
Well, neither were our dyno results. It was a 100 with some 93 in it when we tested the 100 tune. We went a little safe being such an expensive car and all, but the results are still really impressive. Funny though, after seeing today’s results I’m really wondering what we could get out of the s8 if we were to go balls out on a 104 tune, throwing caution into the wind, and tweaking while at the track. If it’s still around, maybe we can do that during our next outting for a couple passes.
11.9 114
11.6 118
11.3 121
Can you add pictures to teh thread. It always makes it more exicting and I can guess better.
Come on Arin post the damn #'s ;D Also, I’m with Saki what else ran and can you share those times… We know APR didn’t rent the strip just for one car
Stock 11.72@116.4mph
APR 93 11.39@122.2mph
APR 100 11.06@126.1mph
And the results are???
Sorry, would have had them up this morning… waiting on other people to finish up all day long.
Actually screw it. It’s 5:50 and I’ve waited to long. Here are the results. I’ll post the video and do a write up later.
Density Altitude:
1134 FT - Stock
1167 FT - APR Stage 1 93
973 FT - APR Stage 1 100
11.909@116.76 MPH with a 1.837 60 FT - Stock
11.174@123.01 MPH with a 1.769 60 FT - APR Stage 1 93
10.937@126.31 MPH with a 1.748 60 FT - APR Stage 1 100
Enjoy. : )
Holy fuck that car has some mojo in it from the factory apparently. Awesome results, and I see what you mean about wishing the 100 octane was a bit more raw balls to the wall.
Any videos?
Wow just wow! 60s aren’t that great either, this thing is a rocket from a roll… Not even a great da… The tune alone shave over 7 tenths :o. Did you mess with air pressure? Improve that 60 and better conditions… Look out! Rs7 will be lethal with a tune!
Oh and I must have missed this post on vendorzine… Lol. AR ftw… Thanks Arin!
From what I was told the track had no real prep because it wasn’t a normal race day. Also, the surface was cold too since we were the only ones running. You can see in the video the driver wasn’t exactly straight off the line each run either, so with a little more practice and prep, as well as adjustment of tire pressure, and a lower DA I believe we would be setting some even more ridiculous times.
I’m still at the office trying to get some sort of video up.
Thanks again for sharing Arin. Look forward to this progressing. And I agree with PT, the RS7 is going to be awesome to see with some bolt ons!
