Yeah, it doesn’t seem too terrible until you amass all of the issues across the different platforms and start to see the big picture. I didn’t realize they were having issues with their big turbo stuff, I was always under the impression that it was a pretty bullet proof kit (assuming you mean stg3 and not something custom).
That RS4 that they did all the testing on in the videos, was GRD Tunning’s car. Last time I talked to them in the spring they said they were getting the car back soon, and going to sell. Which I think they were going to ask WAY to much money for $55,000. They said they were going to sell it to buy a RS7 or a new RS4 can’t remember.
There’s also an unimpressed Stage 3 TTRS owner. I’ll let him decide if he wants to post his experience here.
Meem’s engine? Ouch. Did he ever make a public post about it? I’ve always had great admiration for his attention to detail and how well he’s maintained his vehicles over the years.
When that guy (Urness aka RTERNIE) came on the forum scene he was a colossal asshole, I don’t mind saying so. It would not be instant karma… But it would certainly be karma.
Is GRD still in business? Their website has been “under construction” for at least a year now.
I went to GRD for the APR Stage 2 version 2 flash a few years ago and was frankly appalled at what was considered to be APR’s “flagship” Chicagoland dealer. They were a joke. There’s another AR member here who shares my assessment of them.
