Having the pull end so short I would think you would get a nice gain from just the car using the full rpm range and not leaving all that top end power on the table.

The first one is with a flash so you can see the grill. It looks like the second photo with no flash when you look at it. It is a $40 grill material PEP boys sells painted black and screwed to the back of my grill. It also protects mt condesor better as I replaced it for having all the fins bent when I upgraded my intercooler.

So i used the thicker grill because is stronger,and also i used the small mesh just so smaller things /rocks or something wont go trough!!
I ddnt realize it was gutter guard, that will make it a lot easer to look for and ask people for. thanx den.
No problem! Its very easy to do, u just might have to trim the mesh to make it fit the way u want, and i used the VERY small zip ties to became almost invisible!
if its gutter guard im sure lowes or rona or home depot will have it. ive got all 3 within 5 min of my house.
All the grilles are the same, the performance shops and stuff they all the same, but from lowes or orchard supplies are about 7,9 $ and the skinner mesh was 3$ for a small piece!
Regarding mesh for grilles, etc; there is a supplier in eBay.de who sells a 3D style molded plastic mesh that very closely mimics the RS mesh. I used some on my A6. I’ll post pictures later

Bee do you have a better pic? did you insert the honeycomb to the left of the fog? id really love to put honeycomb in the DTM lower air dams. Just havent really figured out a way to do it looking nice.
I believe I have a number of photos at home. I cut out the old grill slats and epoxied in the mesh. Sanded it all smooth then painted. If one had more skill/patience you could make a fairly convincing oem-esch piece

Well, im in talks with a company in UK thats supposed to be supplying RS6 type grilles for the B7 (no filler plates). Ive talking back and forth since Sept. However, they were supposed to be done a few weeks ago and he is telling me the manufacturer keeps pushing the date back. If i dont have a go on those by February, ill be doing the dreaded 2 hack up grill mod. So i may be doing this soon to the main grill. If thats the case, i should be a pro by the time i go to the little guys below. Thanks for the pics.
