That time of the year... Made some passes today...

Nice Ron. Nice to see you’re still at it.

We had a track rental Monday at atco. DA was also in +1200 to +1400 range I believe. Temps in 70s and humid as hell.

Moogas had similar times to you Ron. I’ll let him chime in with his times etc. Saw his logs though. Peak timing now is in mid 30s for the race file? :eyes:

Iroz stage 2 RS3 ran 11.1@127 on MS109
APR Stage 3 B8 S4 ran 11.9-12.0@115/116 :grinning:

Good to see you out there again Ron… got a little worried for a minute… thought you gave it up. I’ll send some stuff as soon as I have some time. Cheers

that RS3…pretty awesome.

Feel bad for the stage 3 B8 S4 guy,.

Cobrario, Thanks! The car will be much faster and I expect to be right there with Matt and Loe when I run with the new tune… That’s how AMAX works… It seems slow but it’s actually faster as the car does not retard timing or dump boost… It’s certainly deceptive…

tsivas, Hey bud hope all is well… Yeah, still at it… Just busy with life but always time for dragracing this time of the year… lol Was the stage III APR, that Mike Kayak dude with the red car? He’s pretty vocal on facepage but would never acutally run the car, funny if it’s him that now he’s run it and hasn’t said anything… Sucks as I know Eric mentioned he had expected great results with his tune revisions, but maybe he’s on an older tune? Tough to say w/o seeing data… Man the new TTRS/RS3’s are badass!

moogas1, Nah I’m not going anywhere just don’t race much in the summer as I’d rather spend the time with my 6 year old son. Need to get the Prosche out as well since I have a new tune on that… Awesome times you’re putting up and hopefully I’ll be there soon…

Thanks guys!

yep red car. might have been him. was apparently on 6th revision of software he said. he didn’t socialize much.
didn’t look too happy. I only saw a few of his runs and they were in that 12.0 range. I can’t see him making that much of an improvement in ET versus the runs I didn’t see.

With the RS3- we were expecting a high 10 second run. Owner was a little disappointed but weather was a bit shitty and humid. He ran a shit ton of times and was very consistent. Unitronic I believe ran a 10.9 on the TTRS with just a flash/pump fuel which is nuts. Granted the TTRS is a bit lighter but this car had downpipes, intercooler and stage 2 software on MS109. Iroz ran in 10s with this same setup out west.

Hopefully he comes out when we do our early spring rental.

Uni has run 10.9 on the TTRS and Nikko traded his RS in on one. He’s since gone 10.93 I believe it was with it as well- that platform is vey promising - Uni says they’ve gone 10.3x in their house TTRS (not sure what other mods) but haven’t posted slips - saying they know the car will run 9’s so they’ll wait to post until that happens. We’ll see I guess…

Prime- this was the stage 3 b8 S4 at the track rental (@52 seconds). I guess he ran against the Iroz R during the day.

Guess that’s APR’s reply to Uni

so only with a tune that RS3 is somewhere around 500hp

I ran some consistent 11.0x @ 124.xx mph this past Weds in 750-1150ft D/A on my UC set-up. Not many people were aware I switched over (I kept it pretty quiet), but I’ve been trying their 104 file using an e85/93 fuel mix (50% blend) and it works fine with an Autotech HPFP upgrade.

Full weight (including spare/jack, 2/3 to 1/2 tank of fuel that evening). Track timing wasn’t friendly on the left lane as a you noticed that it missed a few peoples (including mine) MPH. I was hoping for 125.xx mph, and my final run where I trapped 99.26mph in the 1/8 mile may have been it, but I don’t have proof unfortunately.

Saki, care to run some #'s to see if it would have been 125.xx mph?

Low great results. your car is a great example of how far these cars can be pushed. did the UC help a lot or for nothing more it looks like it make the car more consistent with a monster mph.

Prime just a few weeks left let us know how those updates help.

tsivas, Yeah that’s crazy… I’m guessing race gas but still damn!

Loe, Good stuff as always… Can’t wait to see what you run in great conditions… Hopefully, 11.8x

Justin, Rained all weekend here so no dice… Next weekend is looking iffy but we’ll see… Still need to get the tune on the car also… If it’s good weather I’ll be there one way or the other…

APRs results went from impressive to not impressive really quick.

So the actual time is 11.13@119 on real pump gas. not sure why the ricer pull the seats bit. I don’t see anyone with a 70k car thinking that pulling the seats out is a great thing to do. Or atleast I don’t I think so… it cheapens the brand to be honest.

To me unitronic isn’t a brand that I would even get excited about so the time unitronic ran is kinda not relevant. I’m used to APR setting the standard for a good strong safe tune and to be honest. 11.13 is a solid time. Not sure about the rest. Good work on the race gas time but still think the seat thing continues to be a bad move.

You’d be surprised.

Agreed Justin, but we both know that most will see the 10.5 and claim they have a mid 10sec car. APR is smart to do this as it hypes it up and creates sales even though its not realistic. 11.1 is still incredible on only a tune for that car. TT-RS must be in the 10s on just a tune

Nice passes Loe and Ron! I’m looking forward to seeing what you’ll do in slightly better conditions. Sadly, I’ve only made it out once this year…

Thanks bud! Hoping to go Sat. but it’s supposed to be a high of 36! lol Did get the new tune on the car Tues so I’m good there…

swapped in a ported blower from tampa autosports 2 weeks ago and hit the strips this past weekend, the port job really woke up the car throughout the entire rev range to where I’ll need a file revision to keep it from bleeding a few degrees on the bypass valve up top once D/A’s drop below 600ft.

I still need to work on my launches, I did a 1,500rpm launch w/o engaging LC, no amax upshifts. It was more like a traditional automatic brake-torque action, and eased into the throttle after I released the brakes.

Happy with the trap, especially that 1/8 mile trap. My 1/4 mile trap suffered as there was some boost bleed in the upper gears. Ron I sent you the logs, my cyl #3 was shit in terms of ignition corrections on that run, I’m surprised it even trapped 126.08mph to be honest…

D/A was 948ft, the baro was good at 30.28 in Hg if I recall, so it made some good boost from 1st to 4th gear.
