The F1 thread...

Malaysian GP overnight.

Thanks! But don’t tell me who wins as I’m watching it now…

Oh man…that was funny, repeat of Button lol. Cost Lewis at least 3-4 seconds, and if he hadn’t done that, he might have been able to slip in front of Webber, which would have been way more interesting.

Mark kept glaring at Seb when he walked in the first room saying “Multi 21…Multi 21!” which seemed to be the performance map they were supposed to be on…

Sorry, I wasn’t deliberately trying to hide the result, but I inadvertently didn’t say who won

Of course not…I just didn’t want to take the chance as how are you to know that I have yet to see the race.

Anyhow, I see what you mean about Seb’s attitude… I agree he should listen to the team though I’m not sure I agree with the teams decision to coast the last 20 or so laps and Hamilton was definitely on Seb’s a$$ for awhile well Mark was coasting…

This season, like last year, officially sucks ass. Kinda like 2000-2004.

Alonso became my hero in 2005 for putting Schumi into retirement. Who will save us now? Jenson Button? lol

I’ve grown to like Lewis’s determination and speed, but watching today, his racecraft has gone down the tubes.

It’s too bad nobody is giving Hulkenberg a chance. He’s the same height as webber and button, no excuse that he’s too big. He is a much, much bigger talent than Ricky Ricciardo…

^^ Seb putting in work

I like Vettel. He is truly a great driver, better than Schumacher IMO. And from his Top Gear appearance, seems a nice guy to boot.

The problem for McLaren was losing Hamilton. Not just in the obvious race pace way, but I think they’re development has suffered as Lewis left. I imagine in testing he got more out of the car than Button. You can see how Mercedes’ car development has grown with Hamilton joining the team.

I think something similar will happen at Ferrari next year with Kimi joining them.

I agree, bango, about Ferrari. As much as I’m sure Fernando hates the arrival of Kimi, the car will develop much faster. Maybe Kimi will find Fernando’s missing 6/10ths he forgot at McLaren lol.

Boo, bear, boo

Yeah wellarmed…awesome article, I’d missed that one. Was curious if anyone would expand on Giancarlo Minardis theories. Usually I check in to scarbs or f1technical once in a while when I’m bored.

Does Webber have the worst luck in motorsports or what…

Congrats to Seb and RBR for 4 in a row!

Interested to see if any team will be competitive against RBR next year? Must say Lotus and specifically Romain Grosjean has impressed the hell out of me the last few races! I wonder if it’s because he knows Kimi is getting “out of the F**king way”… lol!

It’ll be blown (haha) wide open with the regulation changes for 2014. The return of turbo’s as well as the smaller engines and more liberal use of hybrid technology. Much like when Brawn won in 2009. RBR will be well up there.

I think Vettel is the most collaborative driver in F1 and will get the most out of any given car. He seems like a humble enough guy to work with every guy in his team to get the car just right. I just don’t think many of the drivers can check their ego at the door like he does. I watched the Top Gear with the Vettel interview. He just seems like an all round great guy.
