nice, 380" estimated for Jay, I’ll be skiing into June
Nor’Easters sound good though, need some big dumps so the tramline and kinsman are skiable at Cannon.

Thanks for sharing that info, I had no idea these predictions were made. I always left it last minute and went where the snow was (talking about Europe here).
Anyone been to Park City, UT?
Yeah, I went years ago. May have caught a bad season but it wasn’t that great. Deer valley was better. If I were to take a trip to UT I’d give Powder mtn a shot, heard lots of good things.
Alta is killer for Utah (if you’re a skier), but the nightlife sucks. Park city was avg to me. Def not bad, but nothing great either. But I personally like a town feel with a local presence and steep chutes/bowls and moguls. IE aspen 15+ years ago and kinda what Jackson hole feels like now when they have good snow.
+1 like the local feel. That was the vibe I got at Snowmass 8 odd years ago.
I hope their estimates for the PNW is off:
Crystal Mountain, WA
Washington State sits in a tought spot for hit or miss Pacific Storms this winter.
They don’t have the resort I always go to listed (stevens pass)
Our snow forecasts are never right. I don’t ever put too much stock in them and just see how it is day to day.
I have the WSDOT app on my phone so I can check out the pass cams and weather report.
Gents, check out the 2014/15 predictions per the El Nino weather phenomenon looking to strike this winter:
Breckenridge, CO
Colorado may sit right in the middle of an active storm track.
Heavenly Lake Tahoe, CA
Heavenly may be the right word if El Nino pops over Tahoe all winter!
Killington, VT
This could be one the sweet spots in the East if we get a moderate El Nino.
Lake Tahoe, CA
Ahhh this will be a very good winter with numerous PAC West storms. Enjoy!
Mad River Glen, VT
We could see several Nor’easters this winter making for a great ski season in VT.
Park City, UT
Utah’s snowburst will come off repeated snowstorms from the West Coast. It could be a banner year.
Stratton, VT
New England snow will come mainly off a few nor’easters in Jan & Feb, some big.
Sugarloaf, ME
Spin Spin Sugar with some great snow of a few big Nor’easters. Watch for early Spring skiing.

Question for my west coast gents, specifically Tahoe-area skiers/riders:
Where can I find the cheapest lift tickets for Heavenly or Squaw? Liftopia only has rental discounts as of now and looking to ride for 2-3days out there.
Has anyone stayed at the 968 Park Hotel at heavenly, thoughts on it? Also, cheap lodging sites within walking distance to lifts?
My goal is to drive in from SF on a Monday, hit up squaw for some night riding then check in at Heavenly for the night and ride the mountain Tuesday and Wednesday.

Yes. Pretty cool. Varied terrain. Lower elevation and not as consistent as snowbird and alta. But every time I go I seem to enjoy it more than I expected. Easy hour drive door to door from slc airport. Great place to stay and access multiple resorts in under and hour
Slow, please do yourself a favor and pass on heavenly. Def not 2 days. Go to kirkwood one of those days. Youll thank me
+1. Kirkwood and Northstar were my favourites. Although I favour one plank!
