We got lift tickets as part of a package at one of the casino hotels in Reno. I forget which one but they all do it. Staying in Reno meant there was a bit of driving to do each morning but other than that it was a good base. South Lake Tahoe has some caisno hotels as well but I’ve never stayed there.
I’ve also bought lift tickets at REI (brick and mortar store, not tried online)
With your schedule and with a rental car, I’d probably stay in South Lake Tahoe and hit up Kirkwood, Northstar and Heavenly
Yes. Pretty cool. Varied terrain. Lower elevation and not as consistent as snowbird and alta. But every time I go I seem to enjoy it more than I expected. Easy hour drive door to door from slc airport. Great place to stay and access multiple resorts in under and hour
Pass on Northstar. For my taste anyway. a little one dimensional. But the front diamond runs are pretty cool and the backside. Talk about a non home town feel. That place is pretty resorted out. Definitely feels like a management company developed it to me.

Anyone have any recommendations for places to go in Colorado? Been looking at Telluride and Steamboat but open to suggestions. There are 4-5 of us hoping to go President’s Day weekend. We are looking for somewhere that will be less crowded that is not too absurdly expensive.
