It’s ironic that he’s moaning about wanting dyno sheets from JHM and me (since it was my car in that video) yet this idiot buys a $5,000 exhaust that showed no dyno sheet or performance testing…and it’s so fucking restrictive he probably lost 10 hp.

D (91) I’ve met previously but would like to bring a few NY guys with me to meet some new faces. His shop is somewhat centrally located for the tri-state so it would probably work for a meeting spot.

RS4s sound good. It’s hard to fuck up an RS4 exhaust (although one or two have).

I wouldn’t put too much stock in Capristo sounding better than half a dozen other exhausts. JHM, Milltek, GMG, they sound great. My favourites. There are a few raspy ones that aren’t that great (MTM, Ebwerks) but otherwise, the rest in the middle are all pretty decent. Capristo is just another exhaust. Being designed to make you slower means it’s a non-starter on a performance car. It’s tantamount to taking out your front seats and putting in 380 lbs seats in their place. Nobody would do it on a performance car. You did though with a restrictive, poorly designed exhaust. Why?

So that you can say ‘I have Capristo’ at cars and coffee. Comical really.

So what is your full mod list, idiot? Let’s also hear how much HP you’re making.

p.s. please explain your purchase of the Capristo without a dyno result or any performance testing…since you badgered JHM for 3 days for posting my video because it didn’t include a dyno sheet.

Well I have two little kids and the drone of some of the exhausts you mentioned wasn’t appealing to me. IF my capristo lost power, hopefully I made some of it back by lightening the car by putting in the euro seats. I have a few other mods as well.

I’ve never taken the RS4 to a C&C. In fact, I’ve only been to one C&C and that was so my 3 yr old sun can see some nice cars.

Never been to a drag strip, been on a dyno once and it was a piss poor showing (w/ the JHM beta tune).

I have a 997.2 GT3 that I plan on taking to the C&C tomorrow. The only other setting beside the street that my cars have seen are road courses (VIR, Watkins, NJMP, Summit etc).

Met up w/ 91GL in the past…cool dude. Not sure whatever happened to his b6 S4 build??

Because power wasn’t my focus. My buying decisions could be different than your buying decisions. My purchasing decision around my exhaust followed the principle below in sequence. If power was my focus, I’d ask Capristo for a dyno and 1/4 test result. I asked JHM to produce results so others that were interested in their product can have more info to help make their decision.

I had a FI exhaust (same or similar Sebring muffler on the JHM exhaust) on my B6 S4 and that also had a nasty drone to it in certain spots (prior to me having kids).

They were made for the dyno. Shame about your car sucking. Sounds like you’ve got a lemon because most of the people with the JHM tune beta or otherwise dominate on the dyno vs. any other RS4 setup out there.

91GL sold his B6 S4 to JHM a couple of years ago and bought a B8 S4 which he immediately regretted, and got rid of. He hasn’t been focusing on the german cars of late. More JDM.

Exhaust systems represent different things to different people. You’ll find all sorts of angles people look at. I love the smile on my face option as well.

For example, I have Ti trim brand new in the package…would sell you all spares at my cost. Have currently a new set of Ti wheels on the car but have an additional Ti set of wheels in boxes. Have beater pair of Hyper Silver wheel with Dunlop 3Ds…have ported and polished intake manifold…wait that would be the perfect companion for JHM SC…obviously MTM catback exhaust…etc etc etc

euro front headlights (these were about ($700 which is a steal from Latvia)
ttrs steering wheel (this was $1300)
mtm catback exhaust (this was $1500 used from KMD)
Ti wheels (about 4K miles on them…i believe still flawless) (these where $1500)
Ti front grill (still missing the front emblem when i was trying to go ghetto with a black one from ebay) forget the price off hand…
Have brand new rings in da box…just too lazy to pop them in) these about $50

think about it…you might have to drive up to Raleigh before going to Philly…
if you are serious…we might be able to work something out
then i can meet you up on NJ for some other stuff like PnP manifold; brand new front rotors; original exhaust
