what’s the focus on EGT for?
Jones2012s4: euroswagr:Pretty awesome to run that fast for so many runs, not many cars can do that.
Why did you mix in 2 gallons of E85 with your 100oct? I’ve always read that the many people think E85 has an octane rating of 105, but the truth is it’s more along the lines of 94-96oct. Just curious.
Actually,
E-85 cannot be measured by typical octane methods. If it could, it would much higher than 94, much higher.
I run the 104 tune, 100 octane is not high enough. When I mix in two gallons of e-85, the cooling properties, and resistance to detonation is high enough that my car will not pull timing and ends up having slightly cooler exhaust temps.
what’s the focus on EGT for?
Not sure how one sentence dictates focus. Just something I noticed. Relax Saki
When we renting tracks, enough of this lone rider track runs. I would love some head to heads.
Relax? I asked because I don’t see why you would even mention egt. Seemed an odd metric.
If you want to go head to head with a near stock rs4 sure. Maybe try it with just your headers and catback. No tune , no intake, stock wheels, pump fuel only . You can keep the pulley on.

I meant head to heads in general, it’s always a fun time. The owners of ubly really wanted me to organize an event.
I would def throw the stock flash on and see what happens.
Ubly too far for us. We drive an hour west to get to Cayuga. We would have to drive 3 hours further to Ubly.

I’m always up for head to head runs…you come up here you email me and I’ll be out. I’ll bring something interesting. Congrats on the good times and amazing you did so many runs. That’s got to be a record in itself.
What else have I missed…sorry been busy. Gotta check in here more often.

Ok that’s what I wanted to know.
Probably why St Thomas is the best, and their prices would probably be lower.
let’s do st. thomas and have some fun.
Should we do end of May? Or wait till September when it is a little cooler and enjoyable for all?
I would love 70 degrees no wind and sunny
Wait till the fall when it’s cold and dead. Although right now it’s frigging freezing at around 6 celsius.

After July I should have my new S5 ready to go as we’ll stage 2 of course.

London ON,
So Tsivas pointed out, not sure why he didn’t post here, that eurocode ran at 120mph.
Why isn’t that time posted on here?
Awesome times. That 11.61 is just holding on still… Looks like 11.6x is the brick wall for the 3.0T guys right now.

We have some pretty high hopes for my pops car…
It went 11.62 after sitting in the staging lanes for a bit… Stock cats, stock downpipes, stock rotors and 17’s (48lbs)
All in positive DA and a pretty warm day.
So was it because it was a non certified track?
So was it because it was a non certified track?
what part of this did they qualify for?
Some things to note:
no timeslip = no time
non-certified dragstrips will also not be added. Basically only results from a proper dragstrip with standardized/certified timing systems will be included. Examples of runs that will not be included:
- pbox quarter mile times - should be self explanatory
- temporary airstrip type dragstrip event times - there are lots of these in Europe as they unfortunately don’t have many proper dragstrips. Including them is tough because they often calculate trap speed differently and rely on GPS or radar gun devices etc. That’s not really fair to compare to times that were run on a certified track with controls etc. on the timing and track setup. i.e. someone who goes to say Santa Pod in England, an IHRA certified track with full on 60’, 330’, 1/8, 1/8mph, 1000’, 1/4 and 1/4 mph timeslips.
It would also be preferred if someone could post video of a significant time, as well as two of their timeslips from the track. A photo of the car at the strip with the grease paint numbers on the window would also help validation. Not that anyone here is going to pull any fast ones, but we can’t forget that people like kevkev etc. are out there, so we have to be dilligent in protecting the integrity of this list.
