Probably the 5th time I’ve done this. Sorry Tsivas…
I wish you would have said something in here before I made those posts, I didn’t see that time before. Until Ron mentioned it at beginning of this thread.
The best part about the EC times is that they actually ran a bunch of passes with better ET that day… However, the trap speed on those was 113-115 so they posted a slower time with the supposed 120+ mph… I think it was a glitch with the equipment but whatever… I think the 120+ mph helps sell more sets of headers… lol
The Ecode pass showed no timeslips…they showed a printout of some sort with no date/time/track info. Primetime is right that they trapped low teens and then had one out of the blue trap of 120 which was the result of an insane spinny launch and who knows what. They had a 2.2 second 60’ time on that one. Dan @ JHM last year made a pass in his JHM supercharged B7 RS4 where he had a collossal tire smoke launch and a 3 second 60’ and he trapped something like 124 MPH…on JHM stage 1. That’s pretty much 3-4 MPH more than the best JHM stage 1 trap speed we’ve seen, so it didn’t make sense. The crazy ass launch caused it.
That track has been closed for a few years and was not NHRA or anything. IT just reopened in February of this year, and is now NHRA compliant. They changed a bunch of stuff and put up a $1,000,000 sound wall to stop the people living nearby from complaining. Must still be loud.
Thanks for the info guys, I am fairly new compared to you as far as the history of audizine, Audis, dragstrips, etc. only started getting into it probably end of 2012.
