Seriously though all the 11 second b67 s4 and rs4 cars are on pump. Its neat to compare. The b8 world is race gas happy, but I’m not sold on a race time being a benchmark for the car…I.e. Nobody (but ron) rolls on race gas. So the guy who runs 11.7 on race gas…he ends up going home and losing races to guys who run 12.1. Kind of defeats the purpose of the 1/4 mile as a benchmark.
Still fun, but no longer worthy in a ‘our platform runs this’ conversation.
his 118 trap speed tho tells me that the 120 that eurocode ran might not be that much of an anomaly after all. I’m sure the guys that did his custom header setup did a great job(way better than 034 did on this application) but eurocode def put in there homework and testing galore with multiple revisions to iron out kinks, i totally can see this car hitting those kinds traps on race gas especially(hopefully) after this upcoming weekend with what ron has up his sleeve

I think he means that it’s one year on and we’re still talking about a timeslip and its validity.
as I said, I think the timeslip is ‘valid’…i.e. not malicious. I just don’t like how it’s not a certified strip, and for that reason it won’t go on our list.
the far bigger problem is that even though the AZ list went through the kevkev debacle where an APR car posted a fake time, and was immediately promoted to the top of the APR run 1/4 mile list…they put in place a bunch of rules to prevent the reoccurrence of such a fiasco but here again the APR run list has posted the 11.67 APR time without following those new rules.

Cut to 5 days from now when suddenly a witness is posted in the witness column, even though the guy who ran the time already said he was there alone, and there were only 6 other cars there, none from the forums.
I’ll get a few more cracks at the time this year… Should have a 200-400ish DA Saturday, just need this damn rain to move out by late Thur./early Friday so they run Sat. Sunday is looking even better so if they can run Sat. they usually run Sunday instead… Also, since there was a fatality at track this year if it is too windy(not sure how they define that) they will only run the 1/8 mile for safety reasons…

Someone posted a questionable ET and trap, some kevkev jokes, Ron is talking about going out to the strip and beating it, you’re still talking about race gas vs pump. It took me a little too long before I realized that I had hit “previous” on the first thread, putting me to the earliest thread on the list.
Then I realized it’s a year old, i got the shivers and wondered if I took the red pill or the blue pill.
Yeah, barely anyone participated in that. So, the information is on the side if it’s presented.
He did provide about 5-10 fairly consistent time slips.
But whatever.
to be honest, 99.999999999% of the times posted are going to be legit. I don’t really care to see a video of aguy with a stasis tune running 12.4. There’s nothing strange about that at all, and it makes sense. I don’t think anyone is going to scam the list to be 16th.
HOWEVER
when someone runs a new record, the video and witness rules should be enforced. When you factor in the trap speeds that nobody has seen before (not even close, with his modlist), the fact he ran at a track that is not certified by the NHRA or IHRA…you can see why people are saying ‘that’s strange’. When he’s APR tuned, and you work for APR…and you add his time immediately despite these facts…it just hurts credibility.

I don’t believe I ever said it was required, nor should it be as that ruins the fun for those who are in this on their own.
