J, thanks… Not sure I saw those before but probably did… IAT plus timing really helps for me or so it seems… Interesting theory on the sensors having that much delta, I would think tolerances are much tighter? I really need to test in a huge negative DA to find out how much that means?
Saki, I think he meant our personal bests… I appreciate the point on ET but disagree on trap… I’ve gone 119 3 times with a best of 119.46 and 118+ 9 times… I know. Bear has gone faster and eurocode :P. who am I missing? Bear had a way better DA… Ec’s 120 is a joke given it was like 6 mph better than any other of the dozen passes the made that day… As for the vbox thing I used it once and ran a respectable 11.06, fairly confident I’d do ok against the jersey cars if I ran on their track… Just like I think I would do better at say an atco or englishtown… As for the rest of your points I agree and appreciate it ;D

Ron, looks like you are keeping more timing up top due to lower intake temps and also I keep forgetting you are on the 104oct file, which would explain the timing, compared to Bear’s. Was he on 100oct file? What exactly are you doing with your intake to keep temps down? Just wrap? Share your secrets
Fwiw, I’ve trapped 118mph with just the crazy REVO 100oct file many times last spring, and I’m willing to bet it was all done with timing because I was still on the stock pulley and the most I saw on boost gage was about 15psi… I really wish I had my cable back then, to do some logs before I switched to APR…that would of been interesting ;D

Saki, Yeah I believe it was something close to that when I did the vbox it may have been a quicker ET I’d have to check… I guess my point was I have trapped pretty damn close to faster than any other car besides bear and EC’s BS trap… The ET’s weren’t slow by any means, the 119’s all were 11.7x with a best of 11.72. If you look at Ryan’s record times his traps weren’t 119… I out trapped Jeff’s car at Thompson in both lanes as well…
Adrian, Agreed on the timing and IAT’s… As for the intake it is made of a different material and header wrapped which is about it… Don’t forget I have the full CPS as well, but I think bear did also?
No I was on 104 too… The IAT issue was a result of improper APR CPS unit setup… I had Roc Euro do the install, I believe it was his first, and he put straight coolant into the system (zero water mix). Usually, the more coolant the colder it keeps the unit but, as I’ve been told, you need some mix of water to get the appropriate chemical reaction to drop the temperature. Once I bled the lines and added 60/40 mix of coolant/water the IAT dropped dramatically! Unfortunately, I sold the car shortly after and never got to see what it could do on a cool day running the 104 tune.
