I stand corrected he did bring the RS4 into it. But making the point that exhaust and tune B8 or tune/piggies RS4 would beat a $10k B5 build that probably was a pain in the arse every step of the way (zeroT I’m thinking of you lol).

My car is bone stock so it’s not very interesting. It went 13.75 a couple of times in good DA (like really good…-1500 or something). I haven’t tested it since, and likely won’t test it again. Although I did just get a carbon clean done. The other time it had 40,000 miles of carbon. Maybe I should check it to see.

I did however take my car to the dragstrip and ran 12.75 @ 108.36 which is the stock RS4 quarter mile record.

That’s an awesome time, but the etc isn’t just some nuts and bolts… It’s an $11,000 supercharger kit + $1800 clutch, + $480 shifter kit, $1,310 LW rotors, $1750 Catback, $1050 in Downpipes, $250 intake spacers, $400 for the crank pulley, and their car has a rebuilt tranny but I won’t count that…

So let me rephrase that for you since you like to twist things and get overtly sensitive when it comes to the RS4.

With $18,040.00 plus shipping and labor costs the B7 RS4 on 93 ran a 11.3@126. You fail to mention the other $7,000 in mods like its .50 cents or something.

Are you retarded? I showed the $11,000 price of the intercooled stage 2 kit because it’s not the $7900 stage 1 kit I was referring to. You all along were talking like there’s only the one balls to the wall kit. I was explaining to you that the $7900 kit I referred to can be run with just piggies and THAT IS IT. That’s $7,900 in mods + free piggies.

The kit you are aware of is the one that went 11.3 @ 126, a.k.a. the $11,000 stage 2 kit. That car had all the mods.

There’s no intention to deceive you about the cost here Pete. That 11.3 @ 126 time on pump gas is totally irrelevant and I never once brought it into the discussion other than to clarify for you that there are two kits. One that needs all the bolt ons, and one that does not. You seem to think you can’t buy a JHM stage 1 supercharger kit without $3000 exhaust and $500 shifter trio. Guess what…you can.

B7 RS4 = $30,000
JHM stage 1 = $7900
Piggies = DIY FREE

That’s it. That’s a very potent car that will make way over 400 whp on 91, and will keep someone very happy. Your B8 S4 would NEVER get close to it on the same fuel with $7900 into it. That was the point.

Problem you have is that the S4 is always mentioned as having a 10k modlist where as the RS4 just gets free piggies and a tune to match performance…

My S4 had ~6500 bucks into it and their was no way an RS4 with piggies and a tune was gonna even come close. With JHM Full Bolts ons (over 7k) it would probably be a good race but I still think that the race would favor the S4… And yes I’m talking about pump 93 bc you’ll probably bring race gas into this in your response.

What do you mean barely scraped a 12.1? I ran two 12.1 runs out of two runs I did and my first time launching the car and at the track. You even said that if I kept going that day I would have been in the 11’s.

I broke down my mod list already. I was on stock 19" wheels for my 12.1 and pump fuel.

Any RS4 that is 30k is gonna be beat up and need a shitload of little parts and a clutch if you start racing it. Plus that’s used. An RS4 is a 73k car.

Why must you quote a brand new price for the S4 and used price for the RS4. Last year I paid $35,200 for my B8 S4. So it’s not 50k and its not 10k in mods.

The JHM Catback for the RS4 with the sale price is $1,750. The AWE Catback for the S4 is $1,700.

Do some pbox 60-130 tonight. I’m going to go with less gas on shell 93 pump again. I was on half tank last night. Sound fair? This is also the first night I’m beating on the car for a month since the pulley failure then braking in the clutch.

If its pointless info why does motor trend use pbox? 60-90 times 0-100 times 0-60. 60-130 Etc? I think it’s a pretty valuable tool to see how you increase speeds from weather conditions or mods in higher speeds where in a 1/4 mile your top speed recorded it <120

Hey man rs4 is fast but I don’t see it beating a b8 s4 without forced induction. It’s just that the new audi’s moved onto better mpg engines and unfortunately it brought that platform to more horsepower with little money in mods. That’s life idk why you guys are fighting over a rs4 that’s 7 years old with old technology vs 1-3 years old of newer technology.
