Ok, so the JHM Blower is 8k. Cool beans. You still need to go Full Bolt-ons plus everything I listed above to hit the numbers JHM got. So now you’re at over 15k without the Stage 5 clutch which is needed over the Stage 4. So no, its not 8k. It’s really 15k before any labor costs. Add that on and you’re probably closing in on 20k.
and you know what, a V8 with a supercharger sure as hell should beat a 6 cylinder with a stock blower.
I’d love to see a bone stock, non carbon cleaned RS4 with just a blower. Bet you it’ll go high 11’s and 120-121. That’s if the stock clutch doesn’t grenade.
Since I pretty much just covered every single thing about our cars, you have not one logical argument that is accurate. So let me guess, you’re going to pull up every thread I’ve ever posted from when I was still in diapers and try to use it against me. IMHO, I think that a JHM blower RS4 with piggies would come very close to a fully modded race gas B8. I’m not saying it would be consistent, because like you said some stock components may not hold up and most people aren’t going to mod a car with out the proper supporting mods.

I watched my friend run his rs4 12.4 @ 113.9 with NO Tune and piggies and intake spacers. On pump gas from sunoco. He is now tuned. You really think he is going to be slower? lol at you. I watched video of Jnaut run 12.2 with NO TUNE and a few lightweight mods (rotors, flywheel, seats plus $400 catless downpipes). Hell my car went 12.75 @ 108 and 12.82 @ 109.9 bone Fucking stock. You don’t think I’m going to pick up gains with a tune and piggies? You don’t think I’m going to get it into the mid to low 12s?
You brought up full bolt on rs4s. You made it rs4 vs b8. You planted the words ‘b8 killer’ and will note that nowhere did I compare the rs4 to the b8.

I have 100 dragstrip passes on my stock clutch and who knows how many more launches on the street, along with 50,000 miles of daily driving. It’s not made of glass.

Why do I need a giant mod list? To make you feel better about the costs? We have all seen George and Dan go 12. 2 with extensive mod lists. Great for them… They were beta cars and were testing every single part. Almost nobody buys every single part. We have also seen other mildly modded cars go nearly as quick. I bet my car could go 12.38 @ 112 with tune and piggies and stock cat back and maybe LW rotors. Nothing else. Is that so implausible…that I should be able to pick up 3-4 tenths and 2-3 mph? Not at all. Again though I originally said mid to low 12s for an rs4 with those mods. A. K. A. 12.2-12.5. Easily attainable.

My pbox from last night in 75 degree weather, 997ft DA was 14.78. Better then my 15.86 last summer. when my car vs pete/nick and lost by 2 cars it was running well according to YOU and that I should run at the track and now it’s a lemon with basically better setup than last year.
There’s a lot of crossed wires here. My impression was that saki and Chrisk were essentially saying the b5 is a truly dead platform and long live the b8. And then the rs4 got dragged into it. Somehow.
Is this thread about your car? I have only mentioned your car as it pertained to you racing the REVO B8 last year or whenever that was, and that you did well. I also said that since then you have had literally a dozen problems with your car. If that is not lemony, I don’t know what to say to you. It is an older, higher mileage car that seems to constantly have trouble. If you raced Tsivas and lost, that’s great. I am not sure I would really put much stock in any result from your car at this point, based on its apparent history.
Your 3k-8k runs sound great. I can run 6.6 seconds bone stock if I’m on a downhill. That’s why 3k-8k runs are not much of a bragging tool. Your 60-130 times are really slow. Not much else that can be said about that.

Exactly…B8 sensitivity shields are on full right now. Lots of crybaby bullshit. I make a point that the B5 in the video is barely hanging around a B8 with hardly any mods…and those cars would likely be mid to low 12s cars, like a barely modded RS4…and the B8 guys take offense lol.

My car is bone stock so it’s not very interesting. It went 13.75 a couple of times in good DA (like really good…-1500 or something). I haven’t tested it since, and likely won’t test it again. Although I did just get a carbon clean done. The other time it had 40,000 miles of carbon. Maybe I should check it to see.

That’s an awesome time, but the etc isn’t just some nuts and bolts… It’s an $11,000 supercharger kit + $1800 clutch, + $480 shifter kit, $1,310 LW rotors, $1750 Catback, $1050 in Downpipes, $250 intake spacers, $400 for the crank pulley, and their car has a rebuilt tranny but I won’t count that…
So let me rephrase that for you since you like to twist things and get overtly sensitive when it comes to the RS4.
With $18,040.00 plus shipping and labor costs the B7 RS4 on 93 ran a 11.3@126. You fail to mention the other $7,000 in mods like its .50 cents or something.

You all along were talking like there’s only the one balls to the wall kit. I was explaining to you that the $7900 kit I referred to can be run with just piggies and THAT IS IT. That’s $7,900 in mods + free piggies.
The kit you are aware of is the one that went 11.3 @ 126, a.k.a. the $11,000 stage 2 kit. That car had all the mods.

That’s it. That’s a very potent car that will make way over 400 whp on 91, and will keep someone very happy. Your B8 S4 would NEVER get close to it on the same fuel with $7900 into it. That was the point.

Nobody ever said the RS4 was slow or that the B8 is the king of the road…
Problem you have is that the S4 is always mentioned as having a 10k modlist where as the RS4 just gets free piggies and a tune to match performance…
My S4 had ~6500 bucks into it and their was no way an RS4 with piggies and a tune was gonna even come close. With JHM Full Bolts ons (over 7k) it would probably be a good race but I still think that the race would favor the S4… And yes I’m talking about pump 93 bc you’ll probably bring race gas into this in your response.
What do you mean barely scraped a 12.1? I ran two 12.1 runs out of two runs I did and my first time launching the car and at the track. You even said that if I kept going that day I would have been in the 11’s.
I broke down my mod list already. I was on stock 19" wheels for my 12.1 and pump fuel.

Any RS4 that is 30k is gonna be beat up and need a shitload of little parts and a clutch if you start racing it. Plus that’s used. An RS4 is a 73k car.
Why must you quote a brand new price for the S4 and used price for the RS4. Last year I paid $35,200 for my B8 S4. So it’s not 50k and its not 10k in mods.
The JHM Catback for the RS4 with the sale price is $1,750. The AWE Catback for the S4 is $1,700.
