Well heres a TD1 whopper...

Word came back that low and behold it was the mechatronics that has failed AGAIN… ::slight_smile:

(i mentioned this when it was towed it)

well still fighting with audi and I have to say I have never dealt with a company that is less professional that the people that have been handling the case.

The customer care advocates are OK to deal with but they really cannot do anything aside from take a complaint so I spoke with the regional assistant customer service something or other, and she was rude.

They are all claiming that the failure “may be due” to the APR chip and nothing else (even though the number of threads popping up about this issue are growing by day). I have asked if I pay for the repair and the car remains stock after that and the unit fails again am I to have this fight again? I spoke to another CSR who maintained his promise to call back and then told me that a regional director would be following up within 48 hours. Well here we are a few days past that. I still have the loaner and feel bad for the dealership as they are caught in the middle. But if audi cannot have the courtesy to return a phone call I am not really sure that this is the kind of company I want to deal with. Overall not impressed the way they have been handling this especially considering the known issues with mechatronics failures.

We are on deck to buy three new cars this year and I think they have all but lost those sales at this point.

Dealer said the best plan of action was to get the repair done and then buy stasis… IF stasis is on the hook for all of these questionable repairs I don’t understand how they are still in business.

I reckon stasis weasels out of it.

'oh you had a shifter? Well that could have caused it ’

Same as audi.

Get a c63 and whip some audi ass with it.

^^ come to think of it, I don’t recall ever reading a thread or even a single post about a stasis customer using his stasis warranty. Is anyone aware of such an incident?

I’m taking my 2011 s4 into the dealer (warranty work/period in effect) for a weird grinding/rough sound in the front end, and felt through the steering wheel. has been there since I drove it off the (used) lot 3 weeks ago. They are going to replace the power steering hoses and update what I presume to be transmission software. I have had the GIAC tune for two weeks, should I get it flashed back (all the way) to stock? Or should I be ok with those two repairs, and the GIAC software loaded? Does the dealer always check the ECU? I also have the carbonio intake, and without it, I might not care, but with it, they’ll suspect its been tuned… I hear AUDI is playing hardball with tuned units and warranty issues. BTW the steering only exhibits this in full turn left right, and under acceleration (clearly minor acceleration).

If I told you there are many more people like poor KB here, then it’s pretty simple - Audi dealer should only ever see a stock car, I’d suggest the intake even if you have the stock one. They don’t care if it’s been flashed back to stock, so long as it arrives in that condition, it makes their job easier for warranty items.
