Any watch guys on here? Feeling nostalgic today and wearing my first watch (graduation present). Nice and simple Seiko chronograph. I’m sure some of you have a few cool ones, throw em up!

I really like the raised numbering on the first one, Emergency? I wonder if it works to send a distress signal if you have car problems :P…
Breitling is on my short-list for next years new watch… Probably an Avenger.

First off, I’m not a watch guy. I wear one in the winter, but in summer, I don’t bother. I play golf every day and it’s a pain taking it off, putting it on etc. I end up leaving it in the car or at home all summer.
Meistah, I’m repping Seiko as well. I had one of these for 18 years but last December a watch repair shop accidentally blew it up when pressurising it after a battery replacement.
It used to look like this. It was excellent, with timer, stop watch, month/date, 500 feet water resistant etc. Gift from my grandparents.
To compound it, they were lying for weeks saying they were waitiing for it to be done ‘we had to send it out’. They were actually trying to find replacement parts and hoping I wouldn’t notice I guess. Eventually they admitted what happened once they couldn’t get the exact repolkacement parts. Here’s the replacement parts version. I wasn’t enthused about the pink lol.

I told them it was not going to work, so they gave me a new Seiko to replace it. Told me to pick one, so I did. I was quite happy how their regional manager resolved it after the initial fuckups. They gave me the old watch back too.
This is similar to the other one, but is only good for 300 feet. Best part is ist’s solar powered. No more battery replacement shops destroying it lol.

Saki, that’s a bummer bout the shop screwing up like that. Are there none floating around on ebay you could buy as parts? Post up on “watchuseek” as a WTB ad and someone might be able to hook you up. I’d certainly want to keep something you’ve had that long in good working order if at all possible.
But it does sound like they finally took decent care of you. I really like that new seiko you got though. Great lookin watch.

I really want to buy a brown leather band for my Breitling, which I’ll probably do soon. Also need to send it in for a full service which I’ve been avoiding due to the ~$500-$800 fee.
And I enjoy the omega, but I’ve been debating selling it and buying the same version in the XL (42mm vs 45mm). It’s just a little smaller on my wrist than I had hoped but it’s great in more casual situations. Right now I just have a black rubber band for it. But will probably buy black leather with orange stitching and a full orange leather band as well for fun.
Otherwise my next watch will probably be a vintage Breitling, or one of the new models with the vintage throw back faces. I really like their look, but some part of me has always wanted a vintage Breitling but having the tiny face is going to be tough for me lol.

Lol we all have fantastic taste in cars AND watches apparently. The watch from your grandparents is a beauty Saki, and your new one is on my amazon wishlist right now haha.
Maddog I’ve been looking at Omega’s but can’t find any of the larger ones locally to try on, like the styling just find them too small. Even on my girly little wrists.

The Tag Carrera, in my opinion, is one of the best low to mid-row watches you can buy!

Holy fuck you guys are all ballers. I just couldn’t bear to get into the watch game, way too many other hobbies and kids…but mostly I’m cheap as fuck.
I have a titanium watch my wife got me, light as anything I’ve even felt, not expensive, and this watch here picked up because it’s simple and I liked it.
I have a couple older Nixon watches and a Casio, hahaha! Simple tastes I guess.
