Hey marcus i have my deleted fog light in place all blacked out, http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14/09/21/52586a31ee7d29b12426bcab8b854656.jpg
it was very easy to put it back, i only cut the back of the fog light ao it wont touch the pulley and applied some plastidip it looks like new and also u could leave w/o painting the fog light too! But when i have more time i will look into a fog light that will fit that and works too!
Tape and spray. Its not too bad for $6, but definitely just a temp fix.
Dennis… thanks. I have thought about doing that, just undecided at this point. I will have time to figure it all out when I return. Still love how yours turned out!
I would say the cover looks clean but it drives up blower temps. You want the cross air coming from the front of the car to help keep the blower head unit cool. I know the local jhm stage 2 beta car had some kind of led fog light. It looked really c
good from what I remember.
The cover came on the car from JHM, and i replaced the cover w a nice grill to prevent any stuff going in there and maybe getting stuck on the belt or pulley! Keaton told me to avoid water there!
It was scheduled for a built motor but could be delayed because the rs4 stuff is kind of second fiddle to the B67 S4 built motor program right now.
Hopefully soon. They found out that lots of things can happen in the rs4 motor when boosting it, if you’re not careful. As we have started to see some guys having trouble with the other high boost kits JHM’ suspicions from 2012 appear to be true…that you need to keep the boost down and design a system around that to be safe (rather than throwing 16 PSI at it and hoping for the best ) .
Unfortunately for some of the other people with other kits who are having engine trouble now it appears those companies didn’t experience this in testing and tear down (not even sure if they did any tear down as they don’t own an rs4 between them at the other 3 companies selling an rs4 supercharger…pes, apr, amdvivo ) .
Anyway they addressed these concerns/findings about running high boost with the built motor forged internal rs4 program they’re running to allow JHM to run boost up there (much higher than their 6 and 8 PSI kits which are just fine.
But like always they methodically test every fucking thing before release so that RS4 owner has had to wait. He is very patient.
That makes sense from the temperature readings that I have taken at the strip. Can’t imagine how hot the SC would get without some fresh air blowing over it.
On a side note, JHM was supposed to send some sort of block off plate for B6/7 S4s with the SC. It is probably mostly for cars that will see snow and salt. I gave up on that after asking for it a few times.
im almost ready to place my sc order, ill ask about the foglight and see if they’ll sell me whatever they’ve rigged up or at least an explanation of what they did.
