What are You spending it on?
You’re doing it wrong!
I haven’t received a tax refund in years. Can’t stand giving the government an interest free loan. Next year, I’d recommend adjusting your withholding.
^^ that
That is tough to explain to some people, my wife being one of them.
I have to pay twice. Owning your own business sucks sometimes.
Hmmm…I have to pay my pension plan contribution twice but that’s all that I have to double. I pay my own salary and I change it from year to year depending on how much cash I need that year. The flexibility is awesome.
It’s not always possible to manage.
I’ll probably be looking to buy some studded snow tires
they legal there? pretty heavy metal
Yeah nov-mar I think. The R is a ton of fun in the snow just need a bit more grip
I’ll be spending a lot more than just my tax return on car parts lol
Whatever I can afford this year for the project car.
I’ve got some lightweight Enkei RPF 18" rims on the way for the C5 S6 4.2L Avant. Gonna get headers this year too. Gonna see what I can find for headlights for the widebody/V8 C5 that don’t have orange side markers, and hopefully some modernized-lookin LED strip(s) in them. Otherwise I’ll just buff the haze off of the existing headlight housings. New windshield just to alleviate the used car feeling (no cracks but very old looking in the sunlight). Buncha interior things that cosmetically could use replacement - sunvisor, climate control console, aluminum trim on auto transmission gear selector.
Giddy up!!
I don’t foresee getting any sort of tax return, but regardless, I do plan on buying some Nokian Hakka 8’s with studs. I love the testing Nokian does with Audi’s.
what are you driving? I wish I knew Nokian made 19s…I would have bought them for my Rs4. The Michelins I have are pretty shit. Not snow monsters at all. They’re like a cold weather tire, but not great in deep snow. Nokians are RIDICULOUS!
…and my tax return could buy me a new RS4 every year. Datadatum would not be impressed.
LOL
If the withholding system in Canada is similar to USA, then I would advise you to make adjustments.
I try to adjust mine so that I owe a few thousand come tax time. Below the limit for fines, and like an interest free loan to ME.
Holy dude, time to make some adjustments. You’re just giving the government money to play with. I’m sure you know what you’re doing though.
I picked up a low km 2005 S4. I went away from Audi’s for awhile but needed to come back. It’s no RS4 but I wanted something similar, with some power, that didnt cost $35k-40k. It’s pretty damn clean and well taken care of.

What kind of pricing are seeing for those? I’d like some but the prices I’m being quoted are unpalatable.
For 235/40-18’s my friends and family price is $1236 mounted/balanced incl. tax. I’m in Alberta.
Ended up with some 225/40/18 Hakka 8s, blew out a tire in the highway yesterday so it bumped the timeline forward. Right around $1100 all in.
That size of tire is a bit cheaper, but overall it sounds like you got a better deal than I did, especially if your taxes are higher than mine(5%). Nice work!
Yeah sales tax is 6.25% out here. Prices were all fairly similar, $1100 - $1200. There’s some snow on the ground now so I get to test them tonight. The 8s seem massively quieter than a friend’s 5s.
