whose 'full bolt on jhm' car is going up against this unitronic car?

Nice! Euroswagr. So I blew a few tires thursday so I now have 245/30/19 nexen 3000.

just be good to your clutch and it will last forever. I had about 60 dragstrip passes on mine and countless other launches testing JHM’s launch assist, and just having fun etc.

real tires…nice instead of the bicycle slicks you had on at the drag strip…lol I just hope I get this thing quick so we can get another cool track day.

Saki I’m pretty easy on my car other than a few passes at the dragstrip here and there. I’ve only launched it one time on the street so I do hope to have it last a little longer. The true reason why I want it is to drop all that flywheel weight.

nice, if you havent done intake manifold work before I’d suggest leaning the core support back (remove the 6 upper bolts) so its easier to get to the knock sensors… it may be tough to do on a B7 though

I just did my spacer a few weeks ago, It was actually fairly simple in my opinion, but thanks for the idea. I’m actually thinking about removing the whole front end and cleaning the front of the engine. I’m gonna do valve cover gaskets too, I barely have any oil consumption, but I figure while I’m in there mays well.

yeah I always thought the IM was a piece of cake, but I know lots of guys have issues with it

UPDATE…not sure if Ryan saw this yet, http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php/475367-Welp-another-one-is-down-but-not-out

The UNI tuned M-Dubs car just shit the bed…and best of all he says this in the post!!

…this comment comes after some one says, “While your car is down you’ll have plenty of time to send your ECU to JHM”

"HA HA HAH A been waiting for that… most likely gonna go custom for the next map… I’m prolly gonna do nitrous on the car after this.

I replaced the PCV which was easy as hell… the bottom clamp is a PITA just because there is not enough hose to really get some slack in it.

But I went from a qt every 1000 miles to every 600-700 miles. SO something happened.

I’ll let everyone know the outcome. But on the bright side gets me a chance to get some of the other parts in it and get her all done."

So this guy who wouldn’t do highway pulls, or come to the track because of “family time” is going to do nitrous…right? Best of all he says he is gonna go with a custom tune…not JHM…right? What a fucking clown!!! I am about to ask him what nitrous kit he think he is going to do…and if by custom does he secretly mean JHM?

The more I read it the more its becoming clear he has some vested interest in something other then JHM. Funny thing is he never said this motor had any issues. Knowing the unitronic tune and from what justin posted it makes sense that he is having motor issues now.

I was laughing at his post as well. I think we all gave him a little room but its really clear he has some motoive going on here. its just a bit of time till we see whats going on. watch sometihng is comming soon from him that will show his true motrive

yeah, now he’s getting nitrous and a custom tune…

whatever. I think this is just a convenient way for him to disappear.

Here’s something…anyone have a copy of his for sale ad? Let’s screen print it. He was burning a fuckload of oil (1 quarter per 600-700 miles now, and at its best every 1000). Did he mention it in the ad? Or did he say it was mint?

Has he put a deposit on a GT3 or something?

;D I couldn’t help myself… I feel bad for him but he has no one to blame but himself after putting that bullshit tune on his car.

Axel’s post #28 in thread = ownage

Mdub:

[quote]Justin… I never said anything about NOT using JHM. But I’m frankly tired of everyone saying if you don’t buy JHM you wasted money. It gets old really quick.

Axel:

[quote]It might, but there’s truth in that statement when it comes to certain aspects of the 4.2 S4. Such as the tuning. If you want to avoid JHM simply because so many people are praising their tunes and other components, fine. You’re just hurting yourself in the end though. No skin off anyone else’s back (and frankly, it’s a pretty stupid reason to avoid them but whatever). We get the fact that you like to be different and stand-out. You’re doing a great job at it.

Well said. He doesn’t want to be helped. The amount of time and effort JHM/Count have put into their tune is unrivaled for the 4.2. Dub is trying to be different, thats cool. But it appears its at his own expense. JHM already made the mistakes(broken parts) in the development stages required to test the limits of the engine and tuning so why do it yourself?

His ad

http://raleigh.craigslist.org/cto/2858285882.html

Wow, so he claims KW v3s are the cream of the crop. They’re good but they’re not the cream of the crop.
He’s running Carbotech XP10s as a daily driver?
From Carbotech’s website on their XP10s “Due to the high level of friction and bite, this material is recommended for cars weighing around 2,900lbs or less. Carbotech™ XP10™ is not recommended as a daily-driven street pad due to possible elevated levels of dust and noise.”
I wonder how they sound.

Again, from his ad: “Car is in perfect running condition, runs great” and one line below:
“Bad: It does burn a bit of oil which is still within Audi spec of about 1 qt every 1000 miles or so.”

Hmm…In any case, I hear it’s down to 600 miles now.

Hehe, followed up with the Craigslist ad as well

Didn’t realise M-dub was an Avant owner. As for wanting to be different why pick a tune? Why not wheels or something? Does he eat shit because everyone else doesn’t eat shit?

hahahahahahaha^^^^

he did mention the oil burning. Kudos to him.

Bad:
It does burn a bit of oil which is still within Audi spec of about 1 qt every 1000 miles or so.

I just wanted to prove that this guy is a clown, and is not to be taken seriously. He boasted about this tune, then got pissed at the JHM fans, then wouldn’t come to the strip because he is a family man. But now that his car blew he is going to go nitrous and custom tune? Maybe for all his commuting around Raleigh, NC, he can do it really FAST…or maybe that will increase his gas mileage…

from his craigslist ad…
" I just need something a bit more fuel efficient since I have now a 500 mile a week drive"

Some people will never be taken seriously in life, he shoulda stuck with his 600WHP Cobalt…at least he would have a chance to be cool in that community.

Wow nitrous wow utterly shocked to hear this lol hes going to blow that car up and im thinking his custum tune is fromeuro something lol sry butvoh well cant fix stupid

I dont get him
