I appreciate the skill, and don’t mind watching a match with a passionate group of fans. But I’d never turn a game on by myself.

Cheering for nobody being Scottish, living in Canada. Although I do tend to pull for Italy, and I cheer loudly for whoever is playing AGAINST Portugal.
Cheer loud for Germany. boo Italy and England. Most of the time know Brazil is going to win. I attended a world cup match in 2006. Its crazy beyond what most Americans know. Football over here isn’t even close to how it is attendance or crowd wise.
Did you see Germany playing in Germany? That must’ve been amazing. As for the England Germany rivalry… anyone English who knows their footy had massive respect for Joachim Lowe’s 2010 team that knocked us out. Young exciting team, we were just jealous with our squad of old facts playing boring football.
That German team 4years on must be serious contenders for this year no?

I’ve followed Manchester United closely since the mid nineties. My dad has been a fan of theirs since he was little.
It’s going to be tough in our group, but we have a good team too. Other than that, I’m a fan of Brazil and Germany.
Great tournament so far!
Spain getting decimated was great to watch. As was England’s defeat against Italy.
Ivory coast vs Japan game was great. Both teams played well.

Van Persie’s flying header was beautiful to see.
First time I’ve enjoyed watching England since France 1998. We actually played some football. Sturridge’s goal was a beaut.
The only other game I’ve watched a lot of was Ivory Coast/Japan just now as well. That was fun!

I don’t really keep up outside of the world/euro cups, but I’ve always had a liking for Germany ever since I was a kid.
Bit of a silly reason. I had this soccer game for my super Nintendo and Germany had the absolute best stats.
My fiance was also born in Germany so she’s rooting for them as well.
Huge fan, played my entire life and did so up until about 4-5 years ago. I will play again but have to get back into shape.
I was fortunate enough to attend a few games at the 1990 World Cup in Italy, we were there for the last 16 days of it. In the top three trips I have ever had in my life. The experience was unreal.
I have attended other pro matches in Mexico, Holland and Spain before but none compared to the sheer energy and size of the cup when in Italy. I hope one day to be able to attend another cup tournament and share the experience with family again.

Italia 90. My favourite world cup. England billed as no hopers, a young exciting player makes an impression. England scored some amazing goals, played some amazing football.
Germany seem to picking up from where they left off in 2010. Just older and wiser. High chance of a final appearane.

Will be fun to watch the usual…all the Portuguese supporters switching to Brazil flags and jerseys immediately. Pretty lame. Happens every time Portugal chokes. They really need to read their Brazilian history books lol.

Pepe with a red card will be suspended from the game with the US. They had one injury too. However, with Altidore having his hamstring injury, it doesn’t completely swing it in our favor.

Really an interesting word. The original definition is to remove 1/10. As in to tax, or to kill every tenth man. Now the common use is to mean “wipe out.” I tend to overthink the use of this word, and always wonder if a reader (or listener) is thinking of the obsolete or modern definition…
