It’s just a gloss black vinyl. I thought about carbon fiber but that I think it would be a little much

Thanks man, I really want to get the down pipes & exhuast out of the way. As far as exterior I want to get an s4 rear with quad tips. After that would be a boser, then probably the Deval splitter. Those will be a while though. I need to quit spending so when these dps finally come out I’ll have some money for that an full exhaust

how are you doing quad tips?? I wanted to do quad tips but the S4 rear is single tip, so I just painted the stock peice.
You could do it how I did it. I used a B7 S4 valence and cut my bumper and glued it on. The mufflers are Magnaflow 14815 with the outer tips cut a little short for a staggered look

I actually had a chance to buy 7speeds rear back when his car got totaled. Dirt cheap but I was ignorant.

Very nice! My friend with a silver E39 M5 was looking at doing this, when done right, it’s a great touch.
Also, did you do the 75% on front windshield yet, or just the 15% around? I figured the 15% would be good enough for ya, that’s what I got, but on a silver car it tends to look even darker due to the contrast.
My day was officially made when I got caught sitting at a light right after picking up the car. A kid around 16 was spinning a sign for a business and whips out his cell phone. I was like wtf is this kid doing? Starts walking up to my car and looks through my window and give me the “is it okay if I take a picture of your car” look. Have him the thumbs up and smiled. Kid took his pic, gave me two thumbs up, smiled and walked away. I gave it a little extra gas at the light too ;D let’s just say I felt like a bad ass. Haha
Maddog, I did go with 15, with my black interior and the car being light it does look dark and love the roof. The guy had 50 and 80 for the front which I will probably do down the road. Just didn’t wanna drop too much coin at one time. I think I have an idea for my beach pass but I wanna see if it will work first

I didn’t even think that was possible on a 3.0…
Mine has unpainted lowers too. I think it wasn’t until 05 that they standardized painted lowers. It’s a love hate thing for me, painted would look better, but unpainted you don’t have to worry about rocks, bumps and scrapes. Plus it’s not that noticeable on black… I’ll probably plastidip mine black in spring.
Lol asshole. You couldn’t get painted lowers until 04. 1.8 vs 3.0 didn’t make a difference.
